So glad I found this place! The food is really good. It felt like it was made with love. Nono Sal is so endearing and funny, from the moment i called and ordered, he had me laughing/charmed🙏🏽❤️🍕 I've been back several times since I originally posted. Love this place!
I stopped by Pugsley for a slice before walking up Arthur Ave. I cannot describe this place in any way that could do it justice. So amazing, so much love. Just go! Sal is a wonderful person who also makes damn good pizza! Thank you Sal and Pina 🙂
I havent been back here in a few years but so glad to see the amazing couple was still healthy and doing well thru covid.
My friend and I always have a great time when we come. Pizza is fresh and delicious. (We got the plain cheese pizza and a buffalo chicken slice) They are also very welcoming and let us actually build one of our own pizzas (spread the sauce) then ring their huge gong haha.
Def will be back soon.
Stopped here on a pizza tour, Sal and his wife have a wonderful restaurant. They are also very nice and made us feel at home. The pizza was very good
I ordered a Meat Lovers personal pie ! And OMG Let Me tell you it was soooo Tasty .. And the decor is so cool ..its a Gem .. great food great atmosphere
I came back for a second time and loved it even more. Had a couple of slices, an eggplant parm platter, and a "Love Pie" to bring home to my wife.
The eggplant was as good as I have ever had. Perfectly breaded and extremely cheesy, which is rare.
The slices were spot on. A crisp, but not burnt crust with a healthy amount of cheese that didn't overwhelm.
The restaurant is almost on the campus of Fordham University, That, and the fact that the entrance is in the back of the building on a street with no other stores, provides a unique feel. Not to mention the eccentric furnishing.
This is a must-go to destination. If you are not from "the city" it is especially worth the trip. When you're done go to Arthur Avenue - that'll give you even more to talk about when you get home.
Great little old school spot just off Fordham rd that feels as if you are 1000 miles from the Bronx. Really good standard slices and there is a super chill outdoor dining area with a flat screen tv. Would be the perfect spot to grab a pie, some beers amd watch a ball game.
It can be little hard to find Pugsly Pizza but it is well worth it. The pizza is great and the decorations are very eclectic. We'll worth looking for.
I came by chance on my 59 th birthday, it was a magic experience. I am very grateful and wish everyone a slice of Pugsley!
If you are looking for an authentic, Italian, New York pizza experience, you just can’t go wrong with Pugsley. The slices are generous, the homemade sauce delicious, and the crust divine. We recently stumbled across Pugsley and we will definitely be going back the next time we are in the Bronx.
