I bought a pound of pork sausage sweet, a pound fennel, and a pound spicy. I made a large pot of sugo using all three. It is really incredible. Tasting the differences while eating a bowl of pasta brings me to heaven. The real thing.
I loved everything about this place. Top notch service and phenomenal selection of meats and cheeses. Pork chandelier was something to stare at as I’ve never seen anything like it before. Surprised it’s not more popular but definitely a place to check out while in Bronx Little Italy
The Best place to get all of your specialty Italian meats 💥🙌🏻
Great selection of Italian meats, cheese, and other specialty items. They focus on Calabrian items such as nduja. All of the stuff is authentic. There are meats hanging all over which reminds me of Italy. It is a pretty special place! A 2.5 hour drive is totally worth it to me.
Fegatazzo dry liver sausage delicious. Haven’t had it since the 70s in Corona. Couldn’t find it anywhere prior to finding it again at Calabria Porkstore. You made my 86 yr old dads day! Thank you so much
Another gem in the Bronx. The smell of time and craftsmanship hits you as soon as you walk in. Fell in love with the extra hot. I was blown away by the relative reasonableness of the prices here considering the high quality on display. I can’t wait to get back to Arthur Ave.
This is the place all good pigs go to when they die! If it's pork and Italian and you want it made well, it's here.
Whether your desire is fresh, smoked, ground, bound or aged it's either in the cooler, the display case or hanging from the ceiling. I took home spicy capicola, sweet sopresata, fennel salami and pork braciole. I'll be back again next week...and as they said in the '70s...this place is a trip, plus it's worth taking one to get there.
Came here to see the pork chandelier, ended up ordering the prosciutto and mozzarella hero. It’s everything you expect it to be for a $16 sandwich. Huge size and filled with meat and cheese.
Calabria Pork Store is awesome! They've got cuts of pork you won't find in any supermarket!
Coming here harkens back to the days when you went to the bakery for break, pork store for sopressata/salame, butcher for meat, coffee store for coffee beans, pasta store for fresh pasta, and so on.
Like many of the small market stores, it is sometimes hectic and crazy. It is part of its charm… or just CIRCLE BACK. Have an espresso and take a break across the street at Morrone’s Caffe.
In the end, you’ll get QUALITY meat here.
Drove up all night on Saturday arrived on Sunday morning. I started to panic as the lady at Morrone Pastry said all the meat stores are closed on Sunday. So I enjoyed an empty Arthur Avenue until I see the gates a opening. The best of all best. The Sausage Chandelier is the best. But it's the meats and cheeses. Out of this world. Came to see the Yankee game, but really I wanted this. Will be coming back for a full day in the hood. Thank you for making my day.
