Our son gave us a gift card. It was our first visit there. We were thrilled with the experience. Le Central is a small restaurant .... much like you would find in Paris. The menu is very French. The atmosphere is vey relaxing with French music playing in the background. Our server, Kristen, was very pleasant and helpful. She helped me with the wine selection. She took extra time finding out my taste preference for wine. I went with her suggestion and was not disappointed. She was just as helpful with the menu selection. I had a duck breast with putine fritts. The meat was cooked to perfection and very tender. The fritts "French fries " were covered in gravy and melted cheddar cheese. My husband had a swordfish dish and it was also cooked to perfection.
We would highly recommend Le Central and we will definitely be going back.

Best dining experience in the East Bay!
My wife and I have dined at most of the restaurants in the East Bay, and our favorite for overall experience is Bristol’s Le Central. The food is excellent and creatively prepared and presented, from the items regularly on the menu like French onion soup, coq au vin, steak frites, and grilled salmon to the specials like roast duck, short ribs or scallops. Their wine selection is very good, and we particularly like the option of ordering either a full or half glass of wine. Delicious desserts round out the menu.
Virtually every time we dine at Le Central, we compliment owner/chef Jesse for the wonderful meal he prepared. For the quality and quantity of food, the prices are quite reasonable, with most entrees a few dollars more or less than $20.
In addition to the fine food, we enjoy the restaurant’s décor, soft music playing in the background, and that we can have a conversation without being drowned out by background noise. The service staff is personable, attentive, and prompt with meeting our service requests.
Try Le Central. You will not be disappointed. It is the BEST!

Outstanding restaurant ! We had a rehearsal dinner there for my son and his bride. The staff was very friendly and provided great service all night. The food is exceptional ! Salmon, Steak, Coq au Vin and Burgers were all first class. Thank you so much for a great, memorable evening for all
I love love love this restaurant. I'm from out of town but whenever we are in the Newport area to visit family we make sure to come to Le Central at least once or more during our visit. Restaurant is charming, the wine is delicious, the service is great and the food is great.
I happen to be gluten free and they will allow me to bring in a gluten-free baguette and will prepare the French onion soup with my gluten-free bread. Which is pretty awesome because,.. well --you need the bread in Fr. Onion soup!

My husband and I often come here for Sunday brunch. Today, we each ordered a Mint Mojito cocktail for starters...the BEST we've ever had, anywhere.
We love this restaurant the food the service is special always however that being said... tonight we had dinner there and our espresso martini were $20.00 each! I was shocked 😳 Come on we are not in Vegas I feel ripped off really?
The restaurant was small,quaint and inviting. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing from start to finish. The Salad of Endive and Roasted Beets then The Moroccan Chicken followed by the creme brulee was the perfect choices for the evening. The Coq Au Vin was also amazing. Will definitely be back with friends soon.
My wife works here and has a great deal of respect for the owner/chef. We are a military family and have moved around a lot. Hearing the praise of the chef and trying the leftovers that she brings home after the end of her shift--his dishes are incredible.
My wife has been telling me to come in, and we were finally able to do it. I asked her if this is his form of artwork, and she replied, "yes."
The combination of flavors is perfect. My wife praises this place because everything except the dinner rolls is farm-to-table. He makes everything, even the ice cream desserts. I've never seen that and I've been all over the world!
This place is well deserving of a 5 star rating, just knowing the quality of product and the care given to his artistic creations. Amazing!!
