Cracked Pillar Pub

Lunch was taken in what looked like a newly built gazebo behind a period house. The gazebo was nicely done and roomy. They were quite busy but service was fast and friendly and the food was excellent. The restroom was roomy and clean but it was a one holer and they seemed to have only one, a definite disadvantage for a pub.

I want to start by saying staff was friendly and the patio outside is nice. My husband and I both found hairs in our food - I found mine about halfway through and said something, but I was full enough (although grossed out) that I didn't want a replacement meal (not that it was offered...) My husband found one at the start of his meal, thought maybe it could have been one of his, and then found another one cooked onto his burger at the end of his meal - he didn't mention it to the server since I had already told them about finding the hair in my food. The server apologized for the hair, but didn't comp anything for us - maybe she wasn't allowed to? I don't know, but I regret not speaking with a manager about it. Regardless, we won't be coming back. The food here (outside of having hair in it) is mediocre. I've dined here a few times over the past several years, always hoping it will be better the next time since it's still in business, and I'm always disappointed. The beer selection is pretty good, so if all you're looking for is some beers and a good atmosphere, this is your spot. If you're looking for a meal, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Mostly subpar bar food. Salad ordered in my group turned out okay though. Cheeseburger didn't come with cheese on it, rather a cup of bad tasting plastic cheese sauce. Everything fried had a sweet taste so much so that the French fries tasted like apple cider donuts and the fried chicken tasted sweet, not savory. Chocolate flowerless cake was made of chocolate at best, was a hockey puck with a small puff of whipped cream on top. Good beer selection.
