The Patio

First time visit . Today is Sunday and I had to arrive before church let’s out. I’m starving so I ordered half slab combo with baked chicken , apple pecan chicken salad, double chocolate brownie . Tender and good chicken. Half slab a wee bit tough but it’s still good. They have the best bbq sauce to me.

Great customer service. Clean tables, fast service. Very kind and helpful staff. Great place for ribs... Barbeque sauce not too tangy or sweet and the right amount of spicy. The creamy chicken and rice soup is excellent and The bread is warm and fresh... Not a fan of onion rings but you have to try them there. Overall a great family place.

I have loved and touted the patio for over 25 years. The last three times I have ordered the ribs they were terrible! I tried two more times after the first bad reaction because maybe a one off... They were tiny and about as dry as it gets... extremely unsatisfied! Then I get the same exact experience the next two times in over a year. This is just one more Chicago classic that basically has given up on the quality customers expect... After the third time I will never give them my money again...Do not support garbage restaurants just because they were once good.

Best restaurant since 1977. I've been going here for 25 years and can honestly say I don't recall ever being disappointed. It's family owned since 1977 and John and his family are on top of it. They never skimp on QUALITY or PORTIONS. HIGHLY recommend you try them out if you've never had the privilege of going here.

I'm not happy with "The Patio" they attemp to cook, but with no passion. Very bland and the ribs aren't that good anymore. I think it's time to drive past and try a different restaurant. We used to be a dedicated customer. But, was really 😲 shocked when their cream of chicken soup had gobs of something in it. Ugh ... gross!! 👎
