Bennie's Diner

This is not the place you go if you're looking for Glitz and glamour, but it is a very nice place, extremely laid-back atmosphere, reminds me of what a little lunch counter Diner would look like in the late 50s. Food was good, service was prompt attentive and accommodating. Prices were about average. They didn't mind if I stayed at my table after my meal was finished and completed some paperwork which was very nice. Again not a fancy glitchy glamorous place kind of laid-back comfy kind of a joint. I liked it.

I usually LOVE a greasy-spoon-old-school place although I asked the server if I could have REAL butter on the side for my toast. She assured me that they use real butter!! I got a slimy-buttery-blend margarine type product. I understand the economy of buttery-blends used at most large commercial restaurants today but in a locally owned place with a little pride you’d expect better quality which equates to better taste and my continued business- if you start using real butter and stop the trans-fats, respond to this and I’ll give you another try...til then!!

HUGE portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. I always stop in whenever I am in town. Their Egg's Benedict special is DELICIOUS! And the men always love to try their luck at the "Super" breakfast. I've never been disappointed. Definitely worth stopping by at leaassttt once (I doubt you'll be able to resist going back)- or maybe even making it a regular breakfast spot. 5 STARS!

I wouldn't even give this place one star! The food was cold...and terrible service! I waited over 5 minutes for waitress to bring more coffee and she never came. Ordered the Nitro iced coffee...it was disgusting! Had waitress take it away and they put on the bill. The owner came out and said he makes it himself and told waitress to charge us anyway. Then he got angry and verbally abusive with us because we didn't like his coffee...I have NEVER had such a horrible experience in my life! The restaurant was uncomfortably hot, and I felt nauseous after I left...PLEASE listen and don't EVER go there. Go to a real diner.

Obviously the only people who give this place 5 stars are people who are friends with the owner. It was the most horrible expierence ive ever had. The service was horrible and the place was very hot. My stepma and I ordered the nitro iced coffee, we took 1 sip and thought it was so disgusting..it was bitter and tasted old. We did tell the waitress very nicely we did not like the coffee. When we got our bill she still charged us for it so the owner bennie came out to speak to us about the issue. We explained we did not like the coffee and the service was bad. He told us hes been making it for years, no one has ever complained and he was charging us anyway. He was a smug arrogant narcissist who doesnt know how to treat customers. DONT EVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!

I was just there on a service call and I don't know why you would say don't bring your children. Yes the counter if full of local folk which is a good thing, return customers mean good food and good service. I was in the kitchen as well and it's spotless and the food smelled great. I would take my family there anytime...

This little place is very cozy and clean the food is great with that said I’m not sure about the one waitress that works here because there were 2 the day I was in and one was doing everything as the other was on cloud way above 9 or shall I say outter space I’m sure the owner or the manager does not realize that this person is like this or I’m sure they would address it but no one should be working like this and deal with people or serve customers at all overall the food and most of the service was great but I also didn’t really have to give my order to her cause I know it would have been all wrong with
