Captain D's

I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Captain D’s! The food was really good, and if there were locations where I currently live, I would make this a regular! They have some really good specials going on right now, so make sure you check them out! Overall, the food was hot, fresh, and delivered quickly. The restrooms were also clean but could use a little extra decorative work. My only complaint is the styrofoam. I absolutely HATE it… it is awful for the environment. They should really switch to paper products.

My food was cold. Ordered extra piece of catfish which was actually fresh cooked (the only thing that was fresh cooked) but it tasted just like dirt. Coleslaw was sour. Employees could do better if they could leave there cellphones alone. Tables in dining area was dirty. So with that being said if you go there hopefully you get better service than we did.

I asked for cocktail sauce, tarter sauce, malt vinegar, and extra sweet and sour sauce. I repeated my order twice. He repeated it back to correctly. Then at the window they were not friendly or nice... not even polite at all. When he handed me my bag I asked about the sauces and repeated them all again. He assured me they were there. I got home to find he had put 2 sweet and sour sauces... that's it. Nothing else. Ruined my dinner. The best part of shrimp is eating it with cocktail sauce. Same with fish and chicken tenders... The fish and the shrimp were not cooked enough, the batter was barely browned and soggy. Both tasted like uncooked batter. Also there was 1 car in front of me yet I waited 19 minutes for my order. Not worth the money or the time. Update: it's been a while but thought we'd try again. Some things never change. $40 for an inedible dinner.
