Rarely do I post on Facebook but in this case I feel the need. The Lucky Frog restaurant in Bradenton is one of the best establishments in which I have ever eaten. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is the friendliest and most attentive that I have encountered. I ate here twice in the week and that is saying something. This should be the benchmark that all restaurants should strive for. All of the accolades that you have won are more than well deserved. Thank you for a truly amazing dining experience.
Great food, Great beer friendly server. The German food was to die for!
I recently moved to Bradenton, and I'm trying all the local restaurants. I came across this German restaurant and decided to check it out. The place has a casual neighborhood vibe and our server was super friendly. I decided to try the special, which was beef strips with potatoes and mushrooms. The beef was super tender and delicious, but my only complaint is that there wasn't enough beef and heavy on the potatoes. My partner ordered chicken with German noodles and she was very happy with her meal. We shared a dessert, the black forest tower, which was tasty. They also have a good variety of German beer. Give them a try, especially if you like German food.
Absolutely fantastic! A truly remarkable dining experience! Delicious, freshly prepared and you won't leave hungry! We will definitely be back! Go, enjoy and you will agree...it's fantastic!
I really enjoyed the food here.It is the best german restaurant in town. The potato pancakes were finger linking good. I tried their snitzel lunch special and enjoyed it.For desserts we had the crepes with blueberries and those were my favorites.
Great place. The food is authentic German and the service is excellent. I had the pork schnitzel and handmade spaetzle. It was amazing!
We went with friends for dinner here on a night that Petra and Teresa were playing. The food was amazing, best sauerkraut I have ever had same for the potato pancakes, everything we ordered was excellent.
Make sure to save room for dessert, the apple strudel was delicious.
Our waitress was on top of things the whole night, she was efficient, friendly and such a joy, I think her name was Jeanie.
The music was such fun and so much customer participation. It truly was one of the best meals and fun night we have had since arriving.
It's best to call for reservations since it's a very small restaurant.
I wish I could give this more than 5 stars because it's totally more than 5.
The schnitzel was a 5 out 5. We ordered one order and we're extremely happy. We had potato pancakes for appetizer and 4 out of 5. My advice is stay with these two items.
This is a traditional German restaurant with the most authentic German food I’ve ever tasted! The owners, and server, were absolutely amazing and very friendly! The schnitzel, potato pancakes, bratwurst, cheese spaetzle, bread pudding and chocolate crêpes were out of this world. You are truly missing out if you’ve never dined at this restaurant and I can’t wait to go back!
This is a great German Restaurant. It is quaint and is a true gem. Owners, and entire staff are exceptional and genuinely friendly.
We ordered the Schweinshaxn and Salzburger Nockerl as requested a day ahead; they delivered. The Haxn (Pork Knockle) was well seasoned and prepared. The food tasted great. The potato dumplings were homemade from scratch. They are not on the regular menu, so make sure you order them in advance. It really shows that Simone and Uwe love to prepare the food. Both, especially Uwe, have an extensive experience as a chef all over the world.
The Salzburger Nockerl are more dense than I remembered, but it was delicious. Due to the limited sitting arrangement and kitchen size, they cannot offer everything without advance order. It is a true gem and we will certainly be back soon. Twice a month, they do have live entertainment. Check their website for exact dates.

Fantastic, homemade food, outstanding service- I'd go again next time I'm in Florida! I can't recommend it enough. Vegan and vegetarian dishes, too. Wonderful desserts.
