The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, the preparation was creative, and the flavors were innovative. I was extremely pleased. The staff was knowledgeable, explaining in detail the mechanics of how the curious elements of the dishes were prepared. I enjoyed the meal more than some of the Michelin starred restaurants at which I've dined. Highly recommended.

There are good meals, and there dinning experiences. For context, I have worked in food and bar service in New York for four years, and my night at Bisl was one of the single greatest dinning experiences of my life and easily the best meal I've ever had in Montana. Dave, the owner and executive chef, took my reservation. He talked through my evening, from the dietary needs of having a vegan in our group, to the types of wines we favored. Keep in mind, when I called he was well into his prep work for that evenings dinner service. But he also took the time to come talk to our table the night while we were dining. The food is spectacular. While you may have to wait a few minutes for a table (at 49 seats, it's a smaller space) I promise you that it is well worth the wait.

Farm to table even in the dead of winter Has an amazing flavor and textures as well as a diverse menu Sam the chef personally took time to greet us and make sure we were enjoying our meal. Our waiter David was attentive, knew the menu and the wine list and was a joy. Definitely come. It’s a wonderland for foodies. Chicken skin taco awesome. We had 4 selections and every one was excellent.

The atmosphere is promising but falls short with food presentation and quality. Almost all food is served in ramen bowls making it hard to share appetizers The bowl steals the expensive foods presentation. The Dungeness crab with pumpkin sounded amazing. To my surprise The pumpkin was hard and the parsley was replaced by cilantro, making a weird flavor pallet. Poor service, overall disappointment.

Nice restaurant for dinner. I had two hors d'oeuvre for $20. Small portions but nice quality and taste. The space holds 49 people with downtown Bozeman brick for the walls.

My absolute favorite place to eat in Bozeman, a delicious rotating menu, beautiful food, fantastic food and a great beer and wine list.

We were in Bozeman a few weeks ago visiting family and stopped in for a late-night bite and drinks. Our nephew who is a chef recommended the restaurant. The chef and his staff could not have been nicer. We sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen and had the best time watching the food being prepared. I love all things food and appreciated the staff answering questions and explaining the preparations. The wine selection and recommendations were amazing too. We ended up trying two bottles that I would have never selected on my own but paired perfectly with our food. The small plates we shared were delicious (especially the beef tartare). I am looking forward to returning to try a full dinner service.

Visited a year ago and vowed to NOT go back: slow service, overly exotic descriptions of menu items to the point of not even knowing what the he'll you were eating. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! We only went again because someone gave us a gift certificate. It was very very good, and I would be happy to recommend this place now. Very delicious and reasonable Thursday special of pasta and draft, which our friend said was fantastic, with generous morel mushrooms. Some wine selections are very pricey, but overall, the place has totally changed my opinion since my last visit.
