Ask for Jim! He’s a fantastic server and a down home Montana man. The menu items are delicious! The Brussels sprouts make a great starter. The star of the show for me, though was the green bean casserole. This ain’t your mamma’s cream of mushroom soup y’all… it’s good eats.

Me and my wife went for dinner and ultimately had the best dining experience we have ever had. Michael greeted and sat us down and made sure we were treated like royalty throughout the evening. Our bartender/server was also fantastic. And finally the food and drinks were phenomenal to say the least. I had the elk burger while my wife had the shrimp scampi. This is a very well run establishment and we highly recommend.

My family and I stopped in here on a whim while we were in town for the weekend a couple weeks ago and we had THE BEST experience. These days, it's hard to find good workers and reliable staff, but this establishment was so fabulous, we had the best staff and food! We each got something different off of the menu, including a vegetarian option! We had a super lovely young lady as our server and the owner came to chat us up as well. Such wonderful humans, I definitely recommend this place for drinks, food and/or dessert, we will definitely be back and greatly appreciate their standard of service during such tough times.

There it is no easy words to describe this place. When heart and compassion is felt words don't make justice some times. First of all please forgive me for not remembering the name of the girl that help me out. It was late in the evening and when everything was closed she dare to make some fresh salad and bread for my family and I. How to describe that THANKS and God bless you are an Angel. SQUIRE HOUSE she is a keeper. Will be back soon I know and count on my 100% recommendation to anyone. This is the place to visit for a good drink, good food and great service. Didn't drink at the time but that bar look great and next time I come to visit will swing by to have few drinks. Once again thanks for awesome service. :)

The Squire House is located in the same building as the Elements Hotel which is a block off of Main Street. It’s a must visit, especially for Brunch. They have a full bar and outside patio too. The food is incredible, but in full disclosure, I’ve only ever had the Brioche French Toast (pictured below) with bourbon aged maple syrup. I can’t go there and not order that. They also have scratch made biscuits and croissants. You could make a meal off of those alone, and are a perfect appetizer to accompany your mimosas. The service is always great, and they are very attentive. All food is made when ordered, so be prepared to have a leisurely, relaxing experience.

Is it possible to do 0 stars?
We had a reservation and were sat probably 20-30 minutes late into the reservation (I wish I had looked at the time). Then we sat at the table for another 10 or so minutes before the owner(?) came over to see if a server had seen us, to which we answered no. He just walked away instead of taking our order. Eventually the server came over and took our drink order. Another 20 minutes later she comes back with the wine and says their bartender had walked out so she couldn’t make the slightly fancy whiskey sour my partner had ordered. When she brought their new drink order over, we had to tell her we were ready to order food (about 50 minutes into our reservation at this point). After another 25 minutes, there was no hint of our food even being made in the kitchen (which we could see the staff standing around in, not really doing much). So we put some money on the table for our drinks and left (an hour and 15 mins into the reservation). The manager never came over another time to check on us and the server came one more time to take our food order, which she had already taken 20 minutes prior. I know how hard it can be to work in a short staffed restaurant, but the lack of communication and lack of apparent effort was very frustrating as a customer. I would have preferred to have been told when we walked in about the staffing issues so we could have decided to leave then and return at a later date. I have never not completed a meal at a restaurant but this was too much to sit through. We will not returning.

First experience was last night (8/23/2021) when we tried to come for dinner but were informed the kitchen was not open.
Second experience was tonight (8/24/2021). With reservations for 730pm, we arrived early at 7pm. We were greeted nicely & asked if we would enjoy the bar prior to our reservation time. The bar was a delightful atmosphere, with a nice bartender. After about 15 minutes at the bar we were informed our table was ready. We are told our server will be over shortly. After about 10 minutes the same gentleman that seated us returned & asked if we wanted water. We got water, asked for another drink each. Street getting the drinks we asked to put appetizers in (2 bowls of French onion soup), and also gave our food order.
45 minutes after sitting down we received our soup, which was delicious.
One of our entrees (pappardelle carbonara) arrived 30 minutes later (1 hour 15 minutes after sitting down), the other entree (48hr braised short rib) arrived 5 minutes later.
The carbonara... Half was clumped together in a big lump, all was overcooked, there was one slice of bacon on top.
The short rib... The flavor was not indicative of local grass fed cattle, rather that of regular feed lot cattle. The fat placement, texture, and flavor were more of chuck not short rib. The demi did not add anything, it was more of a bouillon. I had requested to sub the green beans for their creamed spinach. It arrived with 3 single green beans. After inquiring about the creamed spinach they brought that 5 minutes later. The spinach has melted cheese on top, but was cool under the cheese.
Having a kitchen in open sight of the restaurant is a nice feature. That is, as long as the kitchen is working. Pace was slow & seemed disorganized. One cook had the same gloves on for several items. There was a large trashcan that was full right next to the final prep/plating area. One plate of food sat for 15 minutes before moving.
Both restrooms had issues. One had an inoperable lock. The other had a toilet full of toilet paper & urine.
The gentleman that served us did remove one round of drinks, and the short rib entree from the bill.

Finally found a unpretentious upscale restaurant with cuisine. Try the scallops and risotto. They definitely have a chef and not a cook. Friendly staff, ask for Juliann. You must try this place. Worth every penny.
