We settle insurance claims, usually that means we have to travel to see the damaged property, this time we were in Boynton beach Fl to deliver a claim check for damages done by a leaking AC unit. It also means we’re almost always hungry after a hard days work:
Steak ‘n Shake remains dependable for great quality burgers and thick frosty cold milkshakes I got a bacon double with cheese that was perfection on a bun, My shake was the perfect density not too thick not too thin talked with a generous portion of whip cream and a cherry in terms of burgers and fries this place is still Heaven

It's changed from having waitresses to the customer ordering on a kiosk, like most other fast food restaurants. The food was brought to our table, which was nice.
The restroom was clean & well stocked. All of our food was hot & delicious. Very reasonably priced.
They do have a drive thru as well as plenty of parking.

Apparently, Steak ‘n Shake doesn’t want to sell their chili. I had chili Mac with cheese and couldn’t eat it. It consisted of spaghetti, sauce with three beans and no meat and melted cheese.
The new kiosk setup, service and cleanliness were very good.

FREE SHAKE - NOT ! Received a coupon via the Steak n Shake app for a FREE shake (no purchase necessary). Went thru drive thru, ordered shake and at window was told FREE shake is NOT VALID during Happy Hour (2-4pm) when shakes are half price? I read all terms and conditions and this is not stated anywhere. So they will only give you a FREE shake when it's full price not half price??? Needless to say, I wasted my time and they wasted a good shake. No rush to come back and deal with this nonsense.

Ordered 4 meals and they were all cold and disgusting. Steak patty was burned and extremely thin (about 1/8th the size it used to be). This place used to be good, now it's unedible.

I ordered my meal from the KIOSK system. Food tasted good and the shake was top notch. Bathroom needed servicing.

It is very sad the owners do not read/reply the comments. It used to be my favorite hamburger place. Today 9/8/19 (7:45 pm) they were disrespectful. The guy responsible to fry the hamburgers patties was dancing and making fun of the manager behind his back because of the late orders. Not only him, but with other friend as well. The manager end up frying patties to try to put the line on schedule, unsuccessfully. I know the service is slow, but 25 minutes to carry out is unbelievable. I am (used to) a 5 year customer and they used to be fast and put some seasoning on the patties, but not anymore. The problem is very simple to fix. You guys have to put some smart and skilled person at the grill to fry the hamburger patties, everything in this restaurant depend on it. All others are Lego pieces. So sorry the long text, I hope the owners can read it. My money, never more!

the food is great, but the fries don't necessarily taste fresh most of the time. the prices are decent, not mcdonald's value but eh not too pricey. as for the service, not great at all. if you're looking for fast service... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. they take absolutely FOREVER TO MAKE VERY SIMPLE ORDERS. the garlic burger is super good though.
