My husband and I ordered the eggs rolls, chicken fried rice, and honey walnut shrimp. The egg rolls were by far our favorite part of the meal. Unfortunately, they only do family style entrees (all meat in bulk and order sides in bulk separate), so it’s not an ideal dining experience for just 2 people. The honey walnut shrimp was good but after eating a few pieces it was too sweet. The service was amazing! We were seated immediately for our reservation time, and the staff was great at refilling our water/checking on us in a timely manner. The decor and ambiance was pretty sick too. Overall a good experience.
The Mediterranean chicken was unique and delicious. The walnut shrimp was also really good. We also tried a vegetarian egg roll and a regular egg roll , both were good. It was very load and busy but staff was attentive
As a native of Cache Valley, the Chinese food capital of Utah - I can say that the Mandarin is top notch.
Amanda, our waitress, recommended that we try the Spice Girl Chicken, kung Pao beef, and honey walnut shrimp. They were all excellent. Personally I’d rank them chicken, beef, shrimp. Egg rolls were unique, I would get them again if someone wanted to try them, but probably wouldn’t order on my own next time. The chicken fried rice was also delicious, and could have held its own as an entree.
Service was excellent. Amanda made sure that we were enjoying our meal, but wasn’t “over attentive”(sometimes it gets too much). Also our waters were full the entire time we were dining.
I will be coming back to the mandarin, and would recommend it to anyone in in the area!
King pao beef was the best entree we got between that, spice girl chicken, and honey walnut shrimp. The chicken fried rice was absolutely delicious!!! Atmosphere was nice. Service was great. Well attended to. Egg rolls were mid.
Wow! We got some egg rolls for the table and then a chicken, beef, and shrimp dish with some chicken fried rice. All of it was great and I appreciated that there weren’t any of those random big pieces of chicken because those always kind of sick me out. Also, top notch service. I don’t think my water was every empty and I swear it was constantly being refilled. Ate the whole thing. CD
Did not make it. TL
First time here - ordered the cashew chicken and the general tso’s. I was expecting the general tso to be crispier and the cashew chicken to have more flavor. Vegetables were on point. Overall very tasty.
Such great food. Always great service! The orange peel beef and honey walnut shrimp were so so good! We always have a great experience here. We eat family style and get to try a lot of different dishes!
Get a reservation, we went on a Wednesday and it was packed! It took a little while to get food and it was a little cold but I think something happened to the power! Honey walnut chicken was the best but we also got lemon chicken, imperial noodles and Mongolian beef
The food here is consistent. Atmosphere is a bit crowded but that’s the sign of a good restaurant. General Tsaos chicken is great. Would recommend doing 2 orders of steamed rice for parties larger than 2. We’ve also done takeout a few times. They’re punctual on their pickup times. Prices are a little steep but the food is quality. Pot stickers are delicious
The food was delicious and we'll made. All the staff were very friendly. It was a little bit too crowded and loud for my tastes, but it was the weekend so I didn't expect much on this front. We also had to wait a while for our food, but again it was a busy weekend and the staffing shortage is hitting everyone hard right now, so I wasn't expecting rapid service.
Their egg rolls were my favorite thing I ordered during my visit. They were the largest egg rolls I've ever had, and tasted amazing. The plum sauce they were served with elevated them even higher; I would recommend getting extra of this. Everything else was delicious as well, especially the general tso's chicken pictured along with this review, but the egg rolls were the real highlight of the meal for me.
