Great addition to the area, fresh and high quality food. Two of us had the "D2" Dog which is a pure Wagyu beef hot dog and it was the beefiest meatiest hot dog I've had. I got it with spicy brown mustard, and relish. The mustard had a bit of a kick, while the relish was tangy and slightly sweet. My boyfriend had his with the house sauce and lettuce. The lettuce was actually crisp, and the house sauce was creamy with a tang. The only thing that prevented this from being 5 stars is because I wish they had slightly toasted the delicious bun. The price I think was perfect at 5.25 per hot dog, it was a good size and the quality was great. Perfect for grabbing and making your way to Castle Island.

If you're going to skate in Southie this is the place. A big hockey rink and a smaller practice rink. Murphy's is Boston excellent for a DCR facility

The Murphy Rink has been a staple of South Boston winter entertainment for decades. As I child, I would visit and watch the neighborhood children enjoying the ice. The inside and outside have been renovated over the years to keep the rink both safe and accessable to all.

Been going public skating here for 39 years. I played hockey at this rink when girls were just starting to be added to teams. House league. 4 teams 3 girls. I got hit hard one time and my helmet came off-where alot of people were like "oh!! Its a Girl!!!" Fun times..locker room fight with the boys..ahh anyways Murphys rink is a huge part of the fabric of South Boston. My daughter started skating there at 5. Shes now 10. Every chance we get we go public skating and bring a friend or 2. They have added to their menu of food and drinks. Yum. Their skate rental fee is well priced and the employee's are very friendly helpful and accommodating. Come skate with us!!

The food was excellent. A South Bostonian all my life. Great place to soak up the sun and meet other Southie folk.
