As some other reviews have said, yeah this is definitely a take out spot.
However, the quesadillas…? Absolutely amazing. I will definitely be back to grab me some of those again sometime! So good!
Great food and super good staff. Explained everything I asked about and was very friendly. The Papas chorizo Burrito was delicious.
Totally impressed! A friend had recommended this place. I went in late (just a few minutes before closing), but they were super accommodating. The tacos were full of flavor and I'm pretty sure they make their own tortillas, which automatically puts them on the next level. Carlos walked me through the ordering process. He carried himself like either a manager or the owner but in a very unassuming way. You could just tell that he had tremendous pride for the establishment. Which came through in the deliciousness of the finished product. Not only will I be back but I'll be bringing friends. Hands down best Mexican in Boston that I've had yet... and I get around!
A delicious Mexican bit! Not expensive (for Boston - 8 a big burrito, 11,49 three enchiladas), and a very friendly staff. Great options for vegetarians and vegans. A nice space to eat inside. Don't forget to ask for the hot sauce, the green one which is just mild, and the red one which is spicy.
Great little Mexican Restaurant, the place is small inside but the food is delicious. Check the menu for a variety of Mexican dishes, anything from Tacos, Burritos, Tostadas, Street Corn, Taco Bowls and all those goodies that we crave for. Highly recommended 👌
Great food. Great location. Nice staff. Busy place. No parking which sucks. Place is bigger than the Amory street location. Centre street location actually answers the phone when you call for an order so 5 stars👍🏽
Chilacates is fantastic! Great food and great service! This location, compared to the Amory Street location, does have a persistent odd smell in the restaurant, but the food is top notch.
My burrito was delicious, well rolled, well made. Deserves a 5 star rating despite a few setbacks. $17 is pretty pricey for a burrito with no sides, and the sauce comes in a tiny thimble. The flavor of the sauce, the skill of the burrito, and the perfectly cooked carnitas make up for its faults. If you're in the area and looking for something to grab and go, Chilacates is worth it if you have a little extra money in your pocket.
They had lots of options, quick service, online ordering available through one of those 3rd party sites, inside seating, it seemed that take out was the default for most people but there is seating for maybe 15 people inside.
I had a torta w carne asada and holy HECK so good. I also got elote because I HECKIN love elote and I get it everywhere I go and it was so delicious I might literally come back just for that. They also had horchata and agua fresca which is also like the best when that's offered. I paid around $26 for all that so it's classic Boston type pricing but it was def worth it.
Awesome experience true authentic street tacos full of flavor . Very friendly and knowledgeable service will be back for sure.
