Mayor Menino and Billy Bulger went here many times. It is a staple in the Seaport/DryDock avenue area. I had a Crab meat sandwich which was excellent. it is very close to the Ray Flynn Cruise terminal so a good stop before a cruise.

We were staying in south Boston and after a long day in town wanted something close to our hotel... this was in walking distance- there's not much else. The place is off the beaten path, and I couldn't get a read on what we were in for by the few folks seated around the wide open space. Tile floors , glass store front, and high ceilings gave it a weird vibe, but it's location in a sorta industrial park made me think it was for locals only-which actually encouraged me. Very brief menu and a few specials made ordering easy and the fish choices sounded great, but I went for the crab casserole..... pretty good! Sautéed veggies as a side were good, too.
My overall impression is "simple".... and that's not bad.... simple ingredients done well, simple decor with no frills, simple service from honest staff.
I just can't shake the feeling that we were an oddity at this place, serious local vibe going on made me not linger....50 bucks, all in..... oh, and what about the "bean dip" ?!? Weird-put the stamp on the whole experience!

Best Kept Secret in Boston. If you want to pay a fortune for fresh sea food go to Seaport Legal. Great view, long lines, much dinero!!! But the food is good. Hopefully you are an investment banker, because the bill may require a small business loan.

If you want tremendous quality seafood, with no frills, at rediculouslly reasonable prices go to the Dry Dock Cafe in Black Falcon Terminal.( not easy to find, but nothing wothwhile is) fresh Seafood off the boat!!

Fresh Sword Fish, Scrod, Scallops.....it doesn't get any better than this. If you go to a restaurant for the excellence of the food, this is the place to go.

I'd prefer you go to some of the more overpriced, mediocre, tourist traps so I can eat in peace at the Dry Dock.

Good food, but a lot of fried plates. The chowder is good, crab cakes are decent. The complimentary bean dish at dinner - kidney, mayo, relish and garlic - is delicious. Very nice folks.

Odd the beaten path, but ironically right "on top" of the source, is the lovely out of the way seafood joint. Flying into Logan International and hitting the coast, I craved seafood. A quick search you'll find many locations, but this stood out. The location was part of it, but the description and such smacked of a "fisherman's joint" with swagger vs. pomp and vibrato of the hoity toity fish houses. Given the choice, I always choose the former. Arriving, there's parking to be had despite the challenging location. Entering the facility, there's nothing especially unique with a simple cafe decor. It's understandable, but patrons are filling the seats amply. I arrive an hour before close. The lead waitress in typical New England style is a little rough around the edges, but once you get to know she's helpful and pleasant and I make a friend. The menu is complete with burgers and chicken and even pasta. But I came for fish. The fish menu is simple but shows the focus on clean fish. I opt for the swordfish tip platter. The food arrives with a simple presentation. I opted for mashed potatoes versus rice, the swordfish tips, and broccoli. The broccoli is simple and I put a little bit of salt and pepper and butter out. It's fresh and delicious. Next bite is the swordfish tips, absolutely lovely. I took another bite, wow! This is goodness. I start pounding. Such. Good. Fish. I learned later. This is a cafe that is fronts for the North Coast Fish Company which means the fish is fresh and literally right from the dock behind the walls. What a great experience and a great find. This will be my go-to whenever I come back to Logan international. Thanks for the tasty food, perfect Bostonian rough edge, and a little bit of laughter about it all. You done good!!

Got the Fisherman's platter and seafood chowder. Both were great. Good place to wait for the cruise ship line to go down. Staff was entertaining 🤣

My friends and I had heard of this place through another friend, so we went to check it out. The location is somewhat awkward to find since it seemed to be a later addition/alteration to the building. We all got the fishermans plate, which is a big plate of a bunch of fried seafood with haddock, scallops, calamari, large shrimp, and clams. It was amazing! I generally love seafood, and this was cooked and breaded to perfection. Their tartar sauce they had was a perfect combination with it being the perfect balance of flavorful without being overwhelming. The Fishermans platter is the most expensive menu item (unless I had missed something) and has a ton of seafood, so my price per person may be vastly different from the rest of the menu, I would think for someone just getting a platter of something is less than 20 bucks for most of it but with drink and any entres would bump into the $20-$30 area but if everyone gets fishermans platters it is gonna be closer to $40 per person.

I had an amazing dinner at Drydock Cafe. The Clam Chowder was so delicious and had plenty of clam. The service was impeccable and the owner even let me try more delicious food. I definitely recommend eating here if you're ever in Boston!!!

Exceptional Friday night dinner at reasonable prices. The fish fresh off the pier. This isn't assembly line cooking, but authentic and very tasty New England seafood. A hidden gem. The owner and service is thoroughly Bostonian, you won't find a better place. I'll be back.

The location is a bit, "not known", no signs outside. We found this place on Google. Great seafood restaurant..Nice atmosphere. Seating at the time was quick. Food came out quick. Staff and servers were very pleasing to one's wants/needs. Serving customers, and beyond. The food in pics, were very tasty. I'm giving a kudos to Kathy the hostess who made sure our food was to our liking, also gave me a tast of a food product to see if I liked. Kelly who was our server who was pleasing to our needs. Along with Joni, she came out n brought me my veggies to make sure they were soft enough for me. A GREAT CAFE👍👍

Had my cousin in from South Dakota. It was the very first time we met. So I invited her and her husband to Dry Dock Cafe. It is a great breakfast and lunch spot, but few people know it is open for dinner on Thursday and Friday nights. Freshest seafood around. Prices are very reasonable and the parking is free. The service is exceptional and you never feel rushed. It was the perfect place for having dinner with friends/ family. Part of me is selfish and don't want to share this wonderful place, because I want it for myself. 9 16 2022. It was my Birthday and this place was just awesome. Truly a great place to celebrate and have dinner. The food is fresh and service perfect. I love coming here.

This was a tasty meal, but there could have been an extra 2-3 broiled scallops for that price. Potatoes were barely warm after a half block walk to my hotel.
