The best all-around restaurant in Chinatown, IMHO. Always fresh hot and delicious, with spicy dishes that have some kick and all dishes with tremendous taste. Vegetarians will find great choices here (eggplant, watercress with garlic and snowpea pod greens to name a couple ). For the meatatarians, try the salt and pepper pork chops. The longhorn peppers with either chicken or beef have a kick and can be ordered extra spicy. For soup, try the spinach & beef stew. Also great dumplings and ravioli. Y ou really can't go wrong here!
We enjoyed dinner at Taiwan Cafe last night. We really enjoyed the Xiao Long Bao, spicy cucumbers, sautéed watercress, salt and pepper soft shell crab, and more! Service was fine as well. We'll certainly be back.
Food is very flavorful and delicious. Love their soup dumplings. Their soup dumpling are one of the ones with the most soup! Sadly, I didn't get any pics of it. It was too good to wait for my camera to take pics first.
This is a casual sit-down restaurant in Chinatown with tasty food. The server was really friendly and there were plenty of seats for dinner on a Wednesday. Highly recommend! We loved the fried pork chop, eggplant, and hearty noodles with pork and vegetable.
My mother is from Taiwan, and this is her favorite restaurant in Boston's Chinatown. The food is fresh and delicious, and according to my mother, tastes more authentic than the food she remembers from Taiwan. Our favorites are the oyster omelet and the "Soup with Pork Intestine and Blood Pudding" (as it's named on the menu in English), although we have yet to try everything on the menu, but these are the harder-to-find nostalgic dishes that my mother looks forward to having the most from their menu. The space is small and can be very busy at meal times, but we went at 2pm for a late lunch and it wasn't too crowded.
Phenomenal food! The black truffle soup dumplings are worth the trip alone. The duck and lamb were excellent too. Staff was friendly and quick and everything was great. Would recommend for sure.
This place is open until 1 am so it’s great for late night eats, especially with its proximity to the AMC you can head here right after a late movie!
The menu is pretty overwhelming to look at with the vast options available but we managed to pick out a hot pot dish, beef rolls and soup dumplings.
Everything had a nice flavor to it, my only issue was that there was a lot of dough in both the beef roll and the soup dumplings. The skins for both were really thick making it slightly difficult to get an even amount of flavor and bite for the rest of the meet that came with it. Overall, was pretty good though.
The crab and pork soup dumpling is amazing, highly recommend. The Taiwanese style pan fried pork dumplings were juicy and delicious as well. The Taiwanese style noodles dish was a bit of a let down, it was more or less bland. The front staff was very friendly which I always value!
We love this place so much so we came back the next weekend. Very delicious and authentic Chinese food in this area. It has changed ownership recently but only for the better. We ordered the spicy stir fried cauliflower and black bean clams. They were yummy. If I am in boston China town again I must definitely return and try different dishes. Staff are friendly and nice which made our dinning experience even more awesome. Thank you!!!
Went for lunch. Liked it so much we returned for dinner the next night. Get the Taiwanese pan fried dumplings. Other dumplings were excellent too. The stir fried cauliflower dish was one of the best Chinese veggie dishes I’ve ever had. Many other delicious veggies were in it. Try the stir fried rice cakes for a different and yummy version of noodles.
Placed an order via Uber eats and thought the food was good. A little pricey (guessing they raise their rates due to Uber fees). I ordered the orange chicken and the hot and sour soup.
The soup was delicious and the portion size did not disappoint. The orange chicken was also pretty good but I think they might have over cooked it in the Wok because it was a bit burnt.
I’d go again in person next time to give a more accurate review but it definitely wasn’t a bad choice for online ordering either
Always love going here! The staff are friendly, the ambiance is nice and relaxed, and most importantly the food is tasty! The prices are not super cheap but it's a great place so worth it! Still cheap compared to the rest of Boston, which is a great value for the amount of food you get. Always love getting tea with the meal too. Their beef noodle soup is tasty and filling. 10/10 would recommend!
