Classic Irish Pub, great punk rock music, cold beers, incredibly friendly staff. This place is great if a bit small. Only complaint is they don't have my preferred beer on tap, but that's hardly a problem with their selection. Highly Recommend their Shepard's pie

I needed a break from the Freedom Trail so I stopped in for a drink and snack. The waitress was being trained but was doing a good job. The price of oysters in Boston shocked me but I got me a dozen. Then the size shocked me too. If you are accustomed to Gulf oysters, these are tiny. They taste great, but there isn't much to them. This is out of control of the pub but this was the cheapest I found in the area. The fries in English curry were nice as well.

I love the atmosphere of this place, especially at this time of year. The rueben sandwich was really tasty, and we all loved their fries.

What a hidden gem place 💎 We were walking on the street and saw the $1.50 Oyster deal. Didn’t expect much but the it was super fresh and tasty (We ordered another dozen). We sat at the bar, the bartender was very friendly and worked efficiently. Their wings were too tiny to eat. But go for cold beer and oysters, you won’t regret it

Cool Irish pub with outdoor seating and live music, near Faneuil Hall. Walkable to/from the North End & Downtown. Check it out!

Stopped here on a historical pub crawl through union street. Staff friendly and beer selection was great. Definitely a Irish pub atmosphere. Price was comparable for the area. Definitely a good stop for lunch or a drink while touring Boston.

Went for lunch. Had the fish sandwich and Shepard's pie. The order came out very quickly. Our server was attentive and helpful. Only disappointment was that the pie had corn in it which wasn't mentioned on the menu, only the other vegetables. Appreciated the old pub style feel to the place.

The band Cherry Bomb plays here sometimes, love to dance to their music- big crowd, everyone dancing. Upstairs there was a different vibe of old remixes, it was dark and flashing lights. Super fun mix between upstairs and downstairs. If you can’t get a person to dance downstairs, try upstairs it might be more their style. Always have fun when I go here. Bouncer is really nice

Unassuming and chill. It may get more crazy later in the day, but my friends and I came here for drinks and oysters. We were not disappointed. For $1.50 oysters, they were pretty good! They came with cocktail sauce, horseradish & lemon served in the half shell. They have outdoor seating and Neil, the bartender, was lovely. Definitely a nice hangout spot.

Went there for lunch on Friday. it was not crowded. great selection of local craft beers. Oysters were fresh and burger was done as ordered (raw cooked wih no tomatoes). Good thing about burger is that you can build it according to your taste. And the bartender was a great guy. Former military who served in army for 10 years. very friendly guy. enjoyed talking with him. Price is quite cheap for boston standard. Ordered half dozen oysters, Burger and 3 beers. Bill came for 37 USD.

Stopped in for a quick beer but felt instantly relaxed and ended up having a few more. Good music mix playing that had a little of something for everyone. Service was attentive and friendly and a great beer selection to choose from.

I was shopping at Stillman's Farm stand talking to other vendors. Walked over to George Howell coffee enjoying a Cappuccino I remarked How every Sandwiche was 13.99 in here. Ever my Barista said try out Hennessy's Bar They have really good cheap eats. So I walked down 3 dollar beer special all the time. That night Coors or Bud lights 3 bucks and out side black board offered many cheap foods soup to Burgers, they had 1.00 Tacos chicken or Beef. I ordered 3 chicken were fresh tasty and hit the spot. Y'all have hit this place up a Coors light 6.55 bill I was more than satisfied its 6.00 or 7.50 a beer alone all around there. Great Bartender ate at the bar left a tip was on my way more than satisfied. Check it out

I was walking and heard an awesome guitar riff and then a powerful voice. I followed the sound and it led me to Hennessy’s Bar. There was a live band and lots of girls dancing. The drinks were fabulous and the beer was cold and plenty. Great staff, awesome crowd. I definitely would recommend this place if you’re looking to fill your spirit joy. Good times.

Came here while walking the Freedom Trail. They serve oysters for $1.50 each which is unheard of for a pub/bar/eatery around this location. We ordered 12 and 2 local beers and bill came out to less than $40 including tips. Wasn't too packed inside but the bar tender was cool and quick. The hostess seemed like she was bored of life in general and didn't even look like she wanted to greet us so we just walked passed her and got two seats at the bar. Oyster came out and was fresh. Couldn't tell the difference from the ones we paid double for at Union Oyster House. Then again, both places have their historical value for Boston. Can't complain either way.
