Great atmosphere. The staff is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is varied and the plates are visually a treat. The food is flavorful and portions substantial just like one would expect at a bistro. When we've gone to LZ there's usually live music and we've have been rewarded by top notch performances. Joe Morocco and his trio are superb. Steve Heck is excellent as well.
What a great place to spend a Saturday night !
the cheese plate are delicious and wine what a taste !
I loved the jazz band .... I definitely recommend this place and will come back for sure .
Thank you for the great service.
Absolutely amazing! The food is phenomenal. The live music is perfect for the environment. Not too loud but enough to be enjoyed with ongoing conversation. Marshall is an amazing bartender who ensures his customers are well cared for throughout their experience. If you're ever unsure what to get, trust his opinion. He won't steer you wrong!
Cozy ambience with live jazz, great service and top refined food is how I would describe this place. I enjoyed every minute and savored every bite of my 3 course meal. If you're a connaisseur you likely know this place already, if not put it on your list of your next outings!
work happy hour. I didn't pay or looked at the prices beyond the drink menu. I ordered a French gimlet, a petit Chou (?) and pinault des charentes. I liked all of them, no ice. the waitress had trouble understanding my French accent even though it's a French place - usual. fried calamity with jalapeno was good, and parmesan fries too. hummus was average. the piano player + jazz band was great. I look forward to going back!
Good ambiance and great for big group hang outs. The service was great and the food was even better. Though, docking a star for inconsistencies with their drinks. Our table got some old fashioned and they all came out different...sometimes too sweet and other times just straight bourbon and ice. Some mixed drinks were just straight syrup water. Overall, avoid the mixed drinks and just go with beer, wine, or something on the rocks. Regardless, the food was great - steak tartare, baked brie, salmon spring roll, and the charcuterie board were amazing starters. The entrees were also fantastic...including the bouillabaisse in the picture below.
This place was amazing, went for lunch with some co-workers and wasn't displeased. Firstly can I saw their calamari had the tentacles... You'd think it would be a more common thing seeing that it's a normal part to the squids body but apparently uncultured tubes are dissuaded by the small appendages. The beer, omg they had True North Ale's gold winning Vincianne (they beat Belgium in their own beer style), truly a great beer for a great meal. And finally the sandwich... They had a Croque Monsieur 😍😍😍. It has been truly difficult to find one let alone a good one the Boston area and it was perfect, the brioche was a clearly winning bread to place the ham and grueyre between, nice and crunchy where the sauce didn't touch and quick-broiled to perfection. I'm certainly coming back, and hopefully soon.
Friend took us here for HH $1 oysters and omg they were amazing and fresh. Will definitely come back again!
Les Zyg used to feel like an out-of-the-way adventure, but the area has developed and it’s often quite busy. Feels perfectly French and also boasts live Jazz on many nights. The above your head ‘stages’ are always a fun surprise for new visitors. Also does a bustling lunch. Make reservations.
Fantastic place. We requested a Rose on the table to celebrate Valentine’s Day two days early, and when we arrived we had a Rose and linens folded into the shape of a Rose. The service was very prompt and professional, and the wine list was extensive with many great selections. The main course was very delicious, but the dessert was phenomenal. Kenneth was an excellent waiter— very professional and very kind.
