Great atmosphere with vast variety of smoked meat. The corn bread is delicious and the beef brisket is recommended. The service is super quick and pleased and the prices are beyond fair. Very family friendly and we will be back for sure.

This is one of the best BBQs I have had. I was actually impressed. The BBQ fries were other worldly. Hands down the best fries I've ever had. We got it with burnt ends, but the pieces were lacking. That was a little disappointing, but the fries were so good it was not a show stopper. My partner got brisket and sausage. I got pork belly burnt ends and ribs. Everything was delicious. The cornbread was much closer to corn cake, which I LOVED. Dense and delicious. I normally think sausage is a waste in BBQ. I have never had BBQ sausage that I thought was good. But yo. This sausage? People throw around the word unctuous, not knowing what it really means. The sausage was the definition of unctuous. It was so buttery and moist. I know that sounds inappropriate, but the feelings that sausage made me feel are also inappropriate. Staff was very friendly. Place was clean. The vibe was chill. I'm coming back.

Delightful...the food exceeded all expectations! The appetizer starters, bbq meats, sides and desert were all amazing. The "famous" wings and gooey butter cake simply delicious. Ordered the sandwiches and all the BBQ meat were cooked to perfection. Highly recommended! This place is definitely on my list of favorite BBQ restaurants.

The food is AMAZING! We split a pulled pork plate with the wing add on and cornbread. The brussel sprouts are so good! The pimento Mac and cheese was excellent. The wings are a must try! We got the sweet and they were some of the best I have ever had. My mom and sister split the bbq chicken, it was seasoned perfectly. They have three great sauces to choose from. Our waiter was so friendly. We will definitely return!

Cool barbecue spot in the growing neighborhood of Seaport! It always smells delicious inside the restaurant with a nice joyful ambiance. However, I think the food is just okay (though among the best in Boston 😂). Brisket is fine, very soft and tender though it could be more flavorful. Burnt ends were kind of hard as opposed to crispy but still had a nice char to it. Mac and Cheese was just bad. It really didn't taste cheesy at all.

The service was quick and nice. The location is wonderful, close to Boston Tea Party Museum and parking. The burnt end sandwich was tender and flavorful. We are from Texas, so finding good BBQ on the East Coast is difficult. We definitely recommend it!

We enjoyed our lunch at this place on June 11th 2023, after visiting the Boston Children’s museum. Service was great and food was good. Most importantly my picky eater kids, ate all their food. I recommend this place.

This review is at least 4 months late in being written, but I had to share my opinion on this restaurant. I was in town for a convention, so stopped by The Smoke Shop for dinner. The place was packed and we didn’t have a reservation, but they made us feel at home and squeezed us in without waiting too long. They advised a Texas style brisket, and coming from Texas I was a little skeptical. The brisket was delicious… it was so good that I didn’t even have to put sauce on it. Our waiter was very friendly and we had a great time.

I so wish I could give five stars and say how blown away I was because I based it on Boston Magazine which says The Smoke Shop BBQ is the best place in Boston for BBQ. I had a large portion of brisket, but it had large chunks of fat and didn't seem tasty enough. It wasn't smoky enough for my taste and I'm not sure if it was injected either. My boyfriend had the Big Beef Rib and this one was more successful. The fries and coleslaw were good. The drinks were good. The restaurant is easily accessible and the atmosphere is good.

As first time here for dinner we had an amazing experience! The place was pretty packed with a nice bar and music. We both got the Pit Boss which comes with your choice of two or three meats and sides. For Pit Boss #1, we chose brisket and ribs. The brisket was definitely the winner for the meats, it just melted in your mouth! So deliciously spiced and yummy, wish I got this as a main! The ribs were pretty good and tasty! Fully recommended!

We very much enjoyed our lunch here. I had the Beef Rib meal, my wife had the pulled chicken sandwich, my son had the turkey, and my daughter had the kids rib lunch. All were very tasty and tender. The cucumber salad is a very refreshing side to enjoy.

10/10 — We had lunch here on a busy Saturday with 3 adults and 3 children (5 years old and under). The restaurant was packed but we were seated right away. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. Food came quick and was delicious! Arguably the best fried chicken sandwiches we’ve ever tasted. They were also kid-friendly which is a huge plus in my book.

I’ve done the tour of Texas BBQ, I’m from Kansas and have done the tour of Kansas City BBQ, listen to me I had the burnt ends and brisket, with Mac and cheese, corn bread and fries, this is the absolute best BBQ I’ve ever had, it’s damn near worth making a trip to Boston just for it, it was insane, not crazy expensive either, while eating it my lady and I were both looking at eachother like oh boy this’ll be expensive and it wasn’t! Look if you try it and don’t agree it’s atleast in your top 5 then find a way to get ahold of me and I’ll pay for your meal.

Really good atmosphere and service in the restaurant, most of the food - chips, BBQ sauce, cornbread etc were delicious but the ribs (the centrepiece of the meal!) were underwhelming. Despite an amazing sauce the ribs were dry and in some places quite hard to eat. Would recommend trying the restauarant but avoiding the ribs.

The service was great and the restaurant environment was pleasant. Lots of options on the menu and great sides to pick from. Also really liked how the watermelon beer complemented the bbq. My main complaint was that the burnt ends were too dry and inedible for me. The brisket was ok but also a bit dry for my taste. The sauces were also nice but if you’re coming for brisket then maybe check out another spot.

We came here Saturday 8/13/2022 after FanExpo in the seaport area Convention it was a group of 12 people, Addison was our server and she was GREAT! Great attitude and customer service Addison was Phenomenal! The food was great and delicious our group was happy and enjoyed our dinners the manager was excellent and also very helpful this was an excellent spot to meet up and have good ribs, chicken wings, Brisket, and burnt ends, and the Atmosphere was fun! My ribs were falling off the bone cooked perfectly. The burnt ends were so mouth-watering good! The potato salad was light, not heavy, also the baked beans are so so good, also bacon collards and blackstrap molasses were so good, and the bar wings with the seasoning fully cooked juicy inside were excellent! The dessert banana custard was sweet and not bad!

First time here for dinner and what an experience! We made reservations in advance, but I would not recommend going on an empty stomach. We waited for an hour for our food and even arrived 10 minutes early. The place was pretty packed with a nice bar and music. The brisket was definitely the winner for the meats, it just melted in your mouth! So deliciously spiced and yummy, wish I got this as a main! The wings were pretty good and tasty, I couldn’t decide between the famous wings or the hot wings so I got both. Definitely loved the hot wings. I was not a fan of the pulled chicken, I thought it was far too salty. The cornbread is an extra $3 and was okay, wish it came with butter. Loved the coleslaw, it was finely chopped up just the way I like it and nicely flavored. Watermelon slice was refreshing and the zucchini salad was surprisingly pretty yummy. For Pit Boss #2, we chose burnt ends, turkey, and hot wings. The burnt ends were the winner for the meats, super flavorful and charred. The biggest surprise was definitely the turkey, it was perfectly moist and spiced, tender too which is amazing because it’s very common to order turkey anywhere and expect it to be a little dry, but not this place! We were not a fan of the Mac & Cheese, it was dry, with no cheese at all, unfortunately. The crinkle cut fries were perfectly crispy and delicious. They have three sauces: Gold Medal, Hot Streak, and Sweet Victory. Our two favorites were Gold Medal and Hot Streak!

We have been to both locations. Both times the food, drinks, and service were outstanding! Highly recommended the bar wings, ribs and brisket. My father was with us and he has a gluten allergy. The waiter suggested safe options for him and the manager brought the plate out personally to ensure his food safety. Next trip to Boston, we will be back for sure!

As an Australian we are fast learning what real Barbeque is all about. I have visited a lot of the well known Q Joints but to learn what good Q is just simply go to the Smoke Shop. Great, no, incredible food and knowledgeable service. I am back again on Saturday. What a discovery.

Amazing BBQ! The wings are hands down the best wings anywhere. We LOVE The Smoke Shop! My kids cannot get enough of this restaurant. YUM!
