Such a wonderful and hidden little gem of Boston. You don't need to be in the North End to get some great Italian. Atmosphere and service is wonderful.
You can sit inside outside and they have private functions. Staff is highly competent with impeccable service. Great flavors and great options.

Went there for fathers day and the place was pretty busy but the service was fast and efficient! They had a pre fixed menu as a a special that had 3 different brunch items & came with juice as well as coffee. The tiramisu French toast and the eggs were made to perfection. Definitely a good place to try. Also the parking lot next to them is where you can find ample parking and can get free parking for 5 hours if you get your ticket validated from the restaurant!

The outdoor patio is great in the warm months. And there is a nice bar. But the dining room can get very loud on a busy night (acoustics aren't so great). The food is pricy, but inline with the upscale restaurants in the area. The food is always good, I love the mushroom soup.

I have been here for drinks and have gotten one app. But it was good enough to make me one to come back! We got the burrata and the bread that came with it was so yummy so naturally I was sad there were only two pieces. As far as atmosphere goes, the staff is friendly and the restaurant itself is a little on the darker side but it makes sense when you look around at their decorations. They created columns with bottles lined up and those are lighted up, I'm probably doing a terrible job describing it. It's really cool so you'll have to come see it yourself. Overall great experience and it's pretty close to where I work, so this may become a regular sport.

I've been here several times now. Each time I have been very happy with the experience. The appetizers, meals, and dessert have all been very good. The wine list is good, priced well, but strictly Italian. Not a bad thing but requires some navigational help from the waiter. Two complaints: 1. The parking, while free with validation, is about as tight as possible. 2. It is loud when busy. Music is loud, too.

This past Saturday I had my daughter's bridal shower at your restaurant.
As I live in Florida, your restaurant made the long distance planning so easy. Thank you Christina for your help with the planning. You are amazing and I am sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you in person to thank you. Thank you to the waiter and bartender for your kind and courteous service. We ordered the brunch and had a beautiful buffet set up for the event. The food and drinks were delicious. I couldn't have asked for more!! The private room we had the event in was so cozy and inviting. This was my first time at your restaurant and when I am in the Boston area, I will definitely be back. Thank you again for making my daughter's bridal shower so special!!!

A great location in the heart of the South End's art and design SoWa district. Convenient if you're going there after a gallery crawl, or for a business dinner or a date. I was seated at the bar. Food is delicious, and the bartender was very friendly and accommodating with drink choices and advice. Would definitely go again.

I had my wedding brunch here, and I could not be happier with how everything went! The event planner was perfect and had everything covered. The food was excellent, and the room was lovely. Even the price was reasonable for the area, and the fact that the restaurant has a free parking lot is just amazing! I have absolutely no complaints.

Excellent food and great service in a very nice atmosphere. By far the best dinner experience during our US trip. Authentic Italian flair as they offer Italian beer , Italian wines and Italian food. Can warmly recommend this restaurant! Also well suitable for vegetarians.

Good food, attentive service, and a nice ambiance round out the experience at this upscale Italian. There was some menu confusion as to the portion sizes, as these aren't consistent dish to dish and the waiter struggled to help. Appetizers were all very good, easily the highlight of the meal. The kitchen took some small liberties with the Roman classics though they were all good, even if unexpected. Definitely order ala carte sides and skip the ordinary desserts. Pricey, but not outrageous and overall a pleasant atmosphere though a bit loud.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. It is a fun and interesting restaurant with a lot of character and atmosphere (if you are after quiet dining this doesn't seem to be it).
Staff were very friendly and helpful and even though our table felt a little hidden we were never forgotten.
Food was great, had starters, mains and dessert and everyone loved them all.

Literally one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in ages. Beautiful space, amazing food (I highly recommend the grilled octopus appetizer) and friendly, efficient service. Oh - also interesting cocktails and a nice wine list with many good options depending on your mood. They perfectly executed the special requests I added to my reservation and recalled them as soon as we checked in. Thank you, Cinquecento, for making our Christmas Eve a very special one!

My husband and I were spending a couple of days in Boston for our three-year anniversary. A friend of mine who lives in Boston said Cinquecento was his favorite place in the city, so we booked for our anniversary dinner yesterday. It was one of the best meals of our lives. They greeted us with a "happy anniversary" right away and gave us a card signed by the staff. We ordered the mussels, squid ink pasta with clams, spaghetti with tarragon and crab and Brussels sprouts. Everything was amazing. The complimentary champagne and intermezzo courses were such a special and amazing touch. Emily, our server, was excellent, attentive and gave great suggestions - especially for wine. Thanks so much for a great evening.

Prix-fixe menu was so good! Fritter was like a little heavenly sweet pillow, coffee was strong and flavorful, pesto added a nice flavor kick, fennel sausage was great, and mixed drinks were top notch. The only things that I would've added were jams for the fritter/Tuscan bread. Also, randomly, my coffee mug and cocktail glass had cracks/chips, but our server quickly replaced them (refilled!). Can't wait to return!

Just ate here. Ambience is great! The outdoor patio is beautiful. Inside is very cool looking. Love it. The wine I got, an Italian Moscato, was the best I've had!! Delicious. The food was excellent. Got the polenta and kale salad. So good! Great service. Will be coming back. Loved it!

Amazing food and service. Can dine outside or inside and has parking. Have been there twice so far and can't wait to go back! Recommend the ricotta fresca, shrimp with squid ink pasta, veal tenderloin and roasted chicken. Had veal porterhouse with a creamy polenta as a special and it was incredible.

Overall a good experience. The host was very nice. We had a large party of 12 or 14 for brunch and people trickled in late and the restaurant was very accommodating to seating us before everyone arrived. The service was a little slow but understandable since our server had our party plus his regular tables. It was extremely warm in the restaurant but unfortunately nothing could be done to change the temperature. Very greatful for the validated parking! So hard to find. I will absolutely go back for brunch and would love to check out the dinner menu as well.

First time diner---loved that there was convenient parking! We had the burrata and fig jam appetizer---excellent! My husband had the bolognese and I had the branzino---both were delicious! Had a amazing bottle of wine and great desserts. Our server was very helpful and knowledgable. All in all---great experience, would definitely go back!
