Let’s start with cons, shall we?
The location is great, just in the middle of seaport, everything in a close proximity, a lot of parking spots, subway is just across the street.
The wine and alcohol selections is so wide that one may start to think that the real purpose of this establishment is to provide a perfect place to drink something exquisite and the food is just the entourage.
Waiters are way above and beyond: attentive, helpful, friendly.
There some cons, though, too.
First and most surprising: the chairs, tables are in a long demand of repair. Seriously, chairs are creaky and shaky, the tables have bulging surfaces. May be just a bad luck, though.
Next: the food selection is very narrow and it seems it stays the same throughout the years. I visited this exact location one year before and I believe the menu has exactly the same.
The dishes quality is good. Not outstanding, though. Exactly what you would expect, looking at the price tags.
Overall, worth visiting once to may be test some exquisite liquors, but I would not recommend it if e repeating visits.
I returned to Ocean Prime after a previous visit where I enjoyed their scallop with rice, and it was exceptional. This time, I made a reservation to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The taste was consistently delicious. The server wished him a happy birthday and surprised us with a birthday dessert. When my boyfriend spilled his cocktail, the server offered a quick refill. A fantastic experience overall, and we'll definitely be back.
We were there for a Birthday celebration. The service was outstanding and the food is just delectable. The Crab Cake appetizer and the Goat Cheese ravioli, paired with the Lobster Bisque was just phenomenal. And for the main course the Striped Bass (special), along with the Branzino was just sensational. Both fish were succulent and every bite was a flaky delight. The accompanying sauces and the presentation was nothing short of superb, and the wrap up course with the amazing Birthday dessert made for a very memorable evening. The ambiance and the vibe is for something special, and you might very well feel it when there.
Fantastic food. Would not expect a steak to be that good at a seafood restaurant. The lobster linguine was flavorful, with very good pasta. Although, it did not seem like a twin lobster, more so just a single lobster. Service was good, a little slow, but good. Cocktails were great as well, but not a lot of options. Definitely a great place to go to.
Met a friend for a drink at Ocean Prime. I've been to the NYC location many times. This was my first visit to the Boston location. The great menu is pretty much the same at both locations, and like New York, this restaurant is beautiful inside. While I only had drinks, the service was fantastic. You can't go wrong with an Ocean Prime!

We were here for an anniversary dinner, we put that as a note on our last minute reservation. The food was amazing! It was rich, luscious and decadent. I ordered the Sonoma goat cheese ravioli and my husband ordered the crab cakes for our apps. For our mains I ordered the snapper which was dry and was oddly paired with a sweet corn sauce underneath. I wasn't a fan. However, we received complimentary desserts for our celebration. The only other downside was where we were seated we were so close to other diners we were basically IN their conversations...totally distracting.
Very good food. Really liked the broccoli and also the ljalapeño scallops. The broccoli was a real unusual spin. Very Tasty. Steak was cooked just right. Our waiter Anthony was excellent. Atmosphere was really nice.
Great place all around. The short rib appetizer is amazing!!!!!! It is melt in your mouth full of juicy goodness. It was seasoned well and just delicious. I was however disappointed with the scallops because they werent seasoned. The service was good. We didn't have dessert.
This coolest place for drinks and food in Boston. Great calamari starters (point judith calamari), ribs, twin lobster tail. Highly recommend the warm butter cake 😋😋
