(Read till the end.) We had a really nice experience at Toro. I highly recommend sitting at the bar. The bartenders are all very friendly, and the service is great. We ordered 4 dishes, all of which were delicious. So, why not 5 stars? The egg. The deviled egg (listed on the menu as deviled eggs) was literally ONE egg, cut in half. It had a piece of anchovy and some smoked roe on top. It was very tasty. But it was also $12! Yes, TWELVE DOLLARS! For ONE EGG! We were so gobsmacked that it didn't occur to us in the moment to complain, but seriously? TWELVE DOLLARS for ONE EGG?? The rest of the meal was appropriately overpriced, and we have no complaints about that. But the egg? I think that might be enough to make this latest visit to Toro our last visit.

Toro is an amazing dining experience. The tapas style sharing of dishes is a really great way to dine with friends/family. Some of my favorite dishes were the spiced flank steak (pictured) and the iberico flank steak. The streetcorn was also delicious.

Take me back to Espana! Fantastic tapas and attentive waitstaff at this Spanish restaurant in the South End. The tomato pizza was good. The octopus, empanadas and potatoes were flavorful and very good. The beef sliders were very good! All tapas were cooked to perfection! The churros and chocolate sauce were excellent! The bird in/on the fire drink had a kick to it and was really good! We will return to this restaurant! Amazing food and atmosphere at this Spanish restaurant!

A little crowded, food is really good! Some things are a lot more memorable than others. Paella, to me was worth it just because I love a good paella so much and more often than not they’re VERY disappointing. Uni sandwich was pretty mid but I also don’t love Uni so take with a grain of salt. Pan con tomate was also fire.

Had dinner and ordered multiple tapas and drinks. The quantity of the tapas is phenomenal. For two people, you really don’t need to order that many (which is different to what I’ve experienced with other tapas places). The atmosphere was incredible and the service was great. The food however just missed the mark. After a while all dishes began to taste the same. The steak with chimichuri was really tough and dry. I found multiple bones in my Croquetas de Pollo. So overall, great value and vibes but average food.

Amazing food, wonderful staff! So many great tapas options for every taste and dietary restriction. My wife is currently pregnant so we're quite restricted on what she can eat. The bartender helped us pick some great nonalcoholic beverages, which were delicious. The staff also helped us identify foods that my wife could eat and cut out certain ingredients for the dishes we really still wanted to try. Absolutely recommend this place!

Fantastic place for tapas. Great service and ambiance. The portions for the tapas are a little smaller than expected and pricey are the main things I can dock this restaurant for. The charcuterie board, bacalao, beef cheeks, and anchovies were great. Don’t forget the paella.

If you're looking for incredible tapas, look no further! Toro offers a great selection of dishes. Each item we ordered was well seasoned, beautifully presented and delicious. We also ordered the paella to and would strongly recommend it- it might have been our favorite dish of the night!

Despite the heavy rain they were able to accommodate our reservation for indoors, and even though we were late they let us have the table, though we’d have to sit at the bar for drinks after. Food was excellent; we ordered the Paella Valenciana, Pimientos de Padron, Jamon Iberico and Boquerones. All quite authentic and very similar to what you would find in Spain. The sangria was surprisingly the best I’ve tasted in a while, as it’s a favorite drink of ours to order.
