This is a a bit of a quirky a seafood restaurant in the heart of Boothbay Harbor. It's attached to the hotel that we stayed at. We had the opportunity to dine downstairs in the converted tugboat, by the bar. We even had some musical accompaniment by a local singer at the piano. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food (including dessert).

Place was packed and we thought we would be waiting for hours. The staff was amazing. They worked quickly to get everyone seated and fed all while never making you feel rushed. The service was truly above and beyond. The food was very good and not over priced. Casual atmosphere and very family friendly. Almost forgot to mention the beautiful view!

Great place, great food, great service. You enter the restaurant by boarding an old, actual Tugboat. The restaurant has lots of seating and several tables looking out on the harbor. The inside is a little dated, but the food and service had our attention the whole time. We shared a bowl of clam chowder which had decent sized chunks of clams, potatoes cooked perfectly and a nice flavor. My wife ordered the Seafood Medley and I ordered the Captains Platter. The food was very fresh, hot and delicious. Our server was very friendly and funny and checked in on us often. We highly recommend this place. BTW, they have parking behind the restaurant so you don't have to try to park your F250 in a spot the size of a small sedan (which I did successfully 😁)

We come to the tugboat every year that we are in Boothbay and it never disappoints. The Haddock Monhegan is a favorite of the group that we dream over when planning our visit. The service is always great and they did an especially awesome job on Monday night considering that their food dumbwaiter broke in the middle of service. The rooftop deck for drinks and a smaller menu is also amazing. It offers panoramic views of the harbor and is especially wonderful to be on top of at sunset.

My favorite lobster roll was from here, and the steamed clams. I was just looking at the souvenir glass from their signature drinks (pay couple dollars more) - remembering the good times. Reminded me to leave a review. Lobster meat was there, roll was done properly, clams were better than the co-op we went to night before. When I think back, this lunch was one of the best meals in the area.

Let me just start out by saying this: the lobster bisque is really amazing! .. the best I've ever had. The seafood Alfredo is so good too! It's loaded with shrimp, scallops, and lobster.

Upon walking in, we were greeted with a huge smile, and made to feel truly welcome! Melissa our waitress was top-notch! Our H2O glasses were never empty and she was super attentive and kind. From the time we sat down to when we got our food was about 20 minutes which was wonderful! The Seafood Newburg was delicious with a perfectly baked pastry topping. The seafood Alfredo was really good, and I was shocked at how authentic the sauce was! (Being an Italian New Yorker I can be hard to impress but they did!). Both seafood dishes were chocked full of fresh seafood and they were generous with the lobster meat which was a pleasant surprise. The chicken Potpie was to die for and one of the best I’ve ever had. The vegetable of the day was rosemary carrots, and they were superb as well. If it is definitely worth walking the extra footage to get to this awesome restaurant! The view of the water was pleasant and decor was warm and kind of felt like the 70s but the whole experience was wonderful and what I was looking for on my vacation. I know this is one place I will definitely return to!

That upper deck area has the nicest view in town. Food was really decent. Drinks were good. Service was perfect. Definitely recommend. My only recommendations, the price for the 1 little crab cake is a but steep. It's good, but a hockey puck portion could be a little cheaper. The pain killer drink was good, but it could be perfect with a little splash of a second rum. Other places have the coconut rum too, but throw in half a shot of 151 😁. All around though, wonderful place and great staff.
