Had a brilliant meal here. Been a couple of times now and food is a joy. The apple pie dessert is spectacular especially considering we are not dessert people. Pork chop was ridiculously good, the beast burger was one of the best I have had anywhere and the summer salad was amazing. Really good value for money and Caitlin who served us was happy, funny and made the meal for us. This is a restaurant in a pub so you have to expect some noise but the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming with everyone saying hello as if you were old friends. A real little gem and very happy you ate on our doorstep. Keep up with what you are doing as you are fab.

Under new managment for the food. It's wonderful food, I've just had the best pie I've ever had there today, I had the steak and ale, followed by strawberry cheese cake, both perfect. Staff are great too. I can not recomend this enough, just leave room for me please? I've just had the pleasure of eating here again, Stroganoff and it was perfection. Thank you Chef... This place is a hidden gem! Warm atmosphere, lovely people and the food is incredible! Every single thing my friends and I tried was delicious! If you are a meat eater, do yourself a favor and try the 12 hour braised ox cheeks - WOW!!! Exquisite! (I had to take a picture, but it doesn't do the taste justice!!!) The steak burger is flavorsome and the portion is very generous! The triple-cooked hand-cut chips are AMAZING! We were a party of 5 with 2 vegans and they were very satisfied too, it was a perfect evening, absolutely will return!
