The staff were helpful and outgoing. The food was ok, but nothing that would make me rush back for more. The wooden bar on top of my booth bench felt as though it had countless layers of grease on it. The bathroom was run down and the floors an unsightly mess.
When you walk in there's a weird smell, like it's stale and greasy. The place is pretty until you sit down and notice how rundown it is - instead of buying a new floor mat, so people don't trip, they used duct tape to keep it to the floor. Terrible fish. Undercooked on the inside, very mushy. Small pieces. When we brought up our concerns, the cashier immediately got defensive, refused a refund (we did not ask for one) and then examined and brought back our fish. Only recooked a portion of our fish after I insisted. Insanely poor servi
Food was delicious. I ordered to go. I was just a bit disappointed with the amount I got for the money. It's hard to find decent seafood this far from the coast though. I will return.
I have been looking all over the valley for a great Fish and Chips Restaurant. Skippers on Fairview really hit the spot! Extremely fresh, hot and crispy, savory and juicy. The wife and I will definitely be back!

Skippers is one of those places that I have been going to since a kid- and going there is like going on a nostalgic trip back in time. The chowder is exactly as I remember it and the fish options are largely unchanged as well. They have some grilled options and chicken for those who don't like fish
