The staff were helpful and outgoing. The food was ok, but nothing that would make me rush back for more. The wooden bar on top of my booth bench felt as though it had countless layers of grease on it. The bathroom was run down and the floors an unsightly mess.

When you walk in there's a weird smell, like it's stale and greasy. The place is pretty until you sit down and notice how rundown it is - instead of buying a new floor mat, so people don't trip, they used duct tape to keep it to the floor. The staff is friendly and kind. The menu was easy to read, we got the 4 piece basket with chicken and fish. The fish was mostly bread... not too impressed. The chicken was good, but you can tell it's just bought and fried. Huge array of sauces for your food.

Terrible fish. Undercooked on the inside, very mushy. Small pieces. When we brought up our concerns, the cashier immediately got defensive, refused a refund (we did not ask for one) and then examined and brought back our fish. Only recooked a portion of our fish after I insisted. Insanely poor service.

Food was delicious. I ordered to go. I was just a bit disappointed with the amount I got for the money. It's hard to find decent seafood this far from the coast though. I will return.

I have been looking all over the valley for a great Fish and Chips Restaurant. Skippers on Fairview really hit the spot! Extremely fresh, hot and crispy, savory and juicy. The wife and I will definitely be back!

Skipper's used to be one of my favorite places to eat. After my experience today, I may never go back. The prices have about doubled what they were just a couple years ago, and are way out of line for a "fast food" restaurant and more like "fine dining", which it was NOT! The french fries were overcooked, the coleslaw recipe had been changed from what was quite good to something that is far less than that. The fish was served so hot and greasy (and tasteless) it was hardly edible. The best thing in the meal was the medium size drink ( which was $2.75). There were free refills, which almost brought the price within reason, but is still way higher than I'm used to paying for the same thing almost anywhere else. The service was "fair" at best. Overall, 2-stars was being generous.

I love skippers! Guy working was awesome and food was excellent. Chowder was delicious, soup could have been warmer. I think soup should be piping hot...Word of advise, don't come here dreaming about the "all you can eat fish/shrimp". I was abruptly shut down when I asked for the skippers "all you can eat". "Oh, we got rid of that long time ago, rising fish/seafood costs and all". Such a shame! I think you guys should have just raised cost instead of removing from menu. Other locations in Washington still have this on menu. I can't complain about food though or service it was excellent. Just bring back "all you can eat" .

Skippers is one of those places that I have been going to since a kid- and going there is like going on a nostalgic trip back in time. The chowder is exactly as I remember it and the fish options are largely unchanged as well. They have some grilled options and chicken for those who don't like fish - but that is what you generally visit Skippers for, isn't it? Remember- classic fish is breaded, and the pub style is battered, and the fries are large "steak fries" and usually aren't all that crispy- not that that is a bad thing- just so you know. Also, be prepared for the prices to have increased with time as well.
