Hooters

Well, what can I say the wings were great! And the shrimp appetizer was the bomb. However the beer tasted old so they are probably not servicing the taps enough. This is based on two visits. The salad dressings are a bit watery, are lite in flavor and can be hit or miss. Not sure if they make in house or buy in bulk and dilute. Staff was not saying. Staff was polite some dressed better than others. To be honest most don’t go to Hooters for the girls so they should really update what little uniform they wear to something more dignified.

I dropped my daughter off at a nearby restaurant to join a birthday get-together for a friend, then found myself standing between the Town Center Mall and Hooters with plenty of time to kill (we live more than an hour away.) Ah, decisions.. decisions.. So, lovely Florida Girl Miss Christy visited me multiple times as I did said time-killing. She was fun and pleasant to talk with (Hooters Girls are not mere "waitresses", they're part of what's supposed to be a bigger entertainment experience.) She was quick to make sure I was getting what I should, and my beer was indeed very cold. The smothered-chicken sandwich is usually my go-to the couple of times each year I make it to a Hooters location, and it didn't disappoint. I know these ladies are tipped entertainers, but she was skilled at making her pleasant nature appear natural, as if she was truly enjoying it. That's the trick, to make the customer believe you're having fun. This was the only time I've been in this location, and it did indeed feel a lot like the "old-school" Hooters environment. I've been to a couple in Georgia that had all the personality of a late night post-drinking stop at Denny's. Not Boca. ;-)

I'm just not a fan of this chain. Actuality doesn't meet the hype for me. I'm not a fan of spicy food, and it seems like that's the flavor that people enjoy. I tried a less spicy, sweeter sauce, and while it wasn't "nasty" per se, it's just not my taste. Service was good and the ambiance is good. No knock, just not for me.

This was my first time in this location, the place was very busy and packed. We got seated pretty fast though. My dissatisfaction was with the service and the drinks. The server that we had had a trainee with her on top of that and the service was still bad. They didn’t take away dirty plates after we finished our appetizer, the mojito that I ordered was bad, it wasn’t muddled at all and the sprite that they used was flat… no one asked us how the food or the drinks were… the coleslaw that came with my tacos was bad (I am a huge fan of coleslaw and it’s hard to disappoint me with it) no flavor in it at all. We got a second round of chicken wings because the wings were actually good and no one brought us plates to split the wings and no one brought any utensils to eat our food with we actually had to ask for it. Overall very disappointed with the drinks and service
