Wild salmon tagine .......best meal ever......highly recommend
Love it! Food is excellent; service, great. Really enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommend it.
Ohhh my, was the Cheyenne Burger fabulous. You know how I love a well built house burger. This was a 1/2lb Angus burger topped with a Cheddar Jack slab of cheese, entirely way to much Thick Cut Bacon, Onion Rings and Home Style BBQ Sauce all on a freshly made bun. The Beer Battered Fries were exceptionally good. Service was fast for our table of 17. A must to go to when you are on Boca Grande. Jeff S North Port Florida.
The Boca Summer salad was amazing! By far one of the best salads ever. Also the blackened Grouper tacos were delicious! Our server was so friendly and made us feel welcomed. We will return!
Great customer service and atmosphere!!! The food was hot and full of flavor. Definitely recommend stopping for a bite to eat.
Upon our arrival in BG, my wife and I met up with her father for lunch. I ordered the Boca Summer salad and without a doubt it was the best salad I have ever had. Every single ingredient was so fresh - the greens, goat cheese, tomato, avocado, strawberries, dried cranberries and candied pecans. The raspberry vinaigrette dressing was a great pairing. Nothing beats a perfectly pan seared scallop and the ones in this salad have left a lasting impression on my tastebuds. We also had guacamole which was wonderful. My wife ordered the chicken Caesar salad wrap - incredible. My father in law got some parmesan & garlic chicken wings that looked and smelled amazing. We went twice this week. I will visit at least twice every future trip to BG.
The food is delicious, but the portions are small (like, really small) and the prices are typically "Boca" expensive.
We ordered the burrata appetizer ($16) which was *just* big enough for two to share.
And then we split the "ultimate" grouper sandwich ($31), which was the real disappointment. It was tasty, but TINY.
I've ordered a lot of grouper sandwiches on Boca Grande and they're usually on big kaiser rolls with a nice ~6oz filet of fish for this price.
But this grouper sandwich was on the smallest ciabatta bun known to man, with maybe 3oz of fish, a tiny leaf of lettuce, some kind of grape-sized tomato, and a tartar/caper sauce. And it came with about 10 french fries.
I know, it's inflation and probably soaring insurance costs that factor into all this. I was just surprised — and it's hard to be surprised by food prices and shrinking serving sizes in 2023.
All that being said, the staff was really nice and the food came out quickly, so we had a nice time.
But there really are better and bigger grouper sandwiches to be found on this island for the same or better price.
We love Mimi's. All the same menu as South Beach! Always delicious food& drinks. The employees are all friendly & great as well. Everything is better in Boca but we literally take vacations here to eat the food. Baja shrimp, the tacos, and pan seared scallops are a must try.
Food is great.
Waited over 10 minutes and had to go ask who our server might be.
Then a table next to us was sat and less than a minute there server was there. I think her name was Nicole. But she was not interested in service. She will not make it serving.
Brunch was great, but again, the server hardly checked on customers.
Food delicious, service great. I took a group of 12 older ladies there for lunch. We were told we could not get separate checks, but they divided the bill evenly 12 ways and took credit cards and some cash. It was very unfair to some people whose meals cost much less than some others, and way too complicated to make it right.
It's the people. A Fritomann review.
I had to kill some time before I could check into my hotel room and I decided to try Mimi's on 3rd. There was a lawnsign close to the boulevard at town center. 5th street. So I explored the little avenues and there is a street parking area (full) out front of Mimi's, 3 or 4 spaces, and parking on the side street reserved for 🚲 and golf carts. Of course there was a golf cart hogging one of the spaces out front. Selfish. Or ignorant.
I found bar seating inside, and the barkeep served me a great local beer, an IPA, canned. I ordered food, Mahi Mahi sandwich, jerk seasoning. Fabulous seasoned French fries.
A group of regulars sat down at the bar near me and we began to converse. It got lively and fun. The barkeep pitched in as well. I had another IPA. This was a little after 2pm. Everyone
Based on the one experience that Fritomann had at Mimi's, I would recommend it if you can find a legal place to park.

The tuna nachos were incredible. Like a sushi experience. And the coconut chicken with banana, spectacular. It was the dream of every Cuban kid to taste that banana!
