Handel's Ice Cream

Best ice cream, anywhere, hands down! We grew up coming here when visiting my grandparents in Ohio, and the ice cream continues to delight. They have SO MANY good flavors! If you have a hard time deciding what to get, I highly recommend the 4-scoop sampler, so you can try four different flavors! This visit I tried the graham central station, pumpkin cheesecake, buckeye (peanut butter ice cream with buckeye pieces and fudge ripple), and salty caramel truffle. All good, but the graham central station is incredible. The graham pieces are tasty and provide a satisfying crunch. Love Handel's and can't wait for the next visit!

From Columbiana to Youngstown, this is the best location. They have the nicest staff, they're willing to split your pint or small cone/dish between two flavors, and they always have the best variety. I can get the same flavor The banana cream pie ice cream is my favorite, with real bananas, marshmallow cream, and chunks of some kind of vanilla cookie/cake, makes it tastee like a frozen banana pudding. There's something about the quality, too. I can get the same flavor at another boardman location, and it doesn't taste as good. Keep doing what you do, South Ave! I'll keep coming back!
