Good Food, Bad Staff. I would start with saying that this restaurant has great food. I got the San Jose Fajita, and it came out quick. The problem I would say I had with this place is the staff itself. I sat down at the bar, and waited 15 minutes before anyone would ask me if I wanted something to drink, or even bring me chips. Then I ordered my food, got it quickly, and was hardly checked up on for a refill. Once I finished my meal, I asked for my check. I sat around for another 15-20 minutes waiting on my check. This was a bit frustrating. One thing i'll point out is that you can not tell how busy this place is while sitting at the bar. Though, I feel with proper management, the place could be ran more smoothly. I saw several waiters and waitresses going behind the bar making their own drinks. Some frustrated with others for not putting the stuff back where it belonged. Several people waiting to be seated, and staff running around doing everything unorganized. If they would have a greater, a bartender, and waiters/waitresses, i'm sure things would run a lot smoother. Designate roles, and stick with them. Though, I've never ran a restaurant, so I wont go too far into details on something I am not sklled in. just seems to make sense.
So, i would go back, and hope the service got better.
ISi!. Margaritas! ...and don't miss their Chori Pollo and their Tres Amigos! This place might not please every cranky yankee that pulls off the interstate, but here in Blythewood, we locals love the place! Friendly staff - happy and noisy customers - a fun place to eat!
Can't go wrong eating Mexican!! Always leave here full as a tick.

Went here for Cinco de Mayo and the place was max capacity. Though what was awesome I called and got on the wait list, therefore we only waited 10 minutes for our table. Service was 💯% AWESOME! As crowded as it was they did not skip a beat providing great customer service. Prices and specials were great $$. The food was authentic Mexican food. Chips are made in house, the queso dip was delicious 🔥🔥. Main course Chillies Poblanos was made different than I was use to, the Chillies were stuff with cheese and the beef was placed on top. I am use to the Chillies be stuffed with everything. Though it was still delicious🔥🔥. The margaritas were made to perfection. Overall experience was great!!
We like the restaurant and food and we go often. I must say that the Chile Relleno is a fail and should either be done correctly or removed from the menu.
We got a 1-2" square of chile and a cup of ground beef and cheese. Anyone can google chile Relleno and see the standard dish vs photo I provided.
It's not my fault I've been down the road and seen many a traditional chile Relleno lol!
San Jose had delicious food, great service, and awesome prices. We came here for lunch May 6 and our host/server Kris was super friendly, funny, and prompt. We tried the chicken chimichanga, the tamales, and more. The four of us had no complaints and all enjoyed our food. If you want delicious Mexican food I'd suggest giving it a try.
It is almost impossible to find a good place to eat when you are on the road. We stayed at a hotel next to this restaurant and went here for dinner. It was a delightful experience. The food was great. We ordered the quesadillas and the chicken in mine had a wonderful taste and there was plenty of it! It came with a guacamole salad, which was super good. I was very happy that they offered entrees (like this) that didn't include the obligatory rice and beans, which I never eat. My margarita was really good -- I ordered the upgraded one. But the service was exceptional and I noticed that a lot of diners were regulars; many servers greeted people with familiarity and even hugs. It's always nice to go somewhere where people return again and again. Overall, a good reason to stop for the night in Blythewood!
Ordered the La Raza, (fish&shrimp). Cooked on point. Was not dried out. Daughter loved her food, and my friend that was with deserved the clean plate award.
The food here is very good. It was crowded so the service was a little slow but that should be expected if is crowded. When the food came out it was hot so the extra wait was not a problem.
