Sonic Drive-in

Location: Bluffton, SC - Sheridan Park I heard Sonic had the best chocolate shakes and my wife wanted one. We were close to this Sonic and decided to add some food with our order. I ordered the foot long coney, and my wife order the NEW chicken Slinger. I am having a difficult time finding the words to describe the pictures of our food. I will start by saying, on a 1 to 10 scale, 10 being best, the chocolate shakes were a 4. They were "okay", and I really think you should be asked if you want whip cream, but that had nothing to do with my rating on the shake. Next, my wife's NEW chicken Slinger. Hmmmmm!!!!! It looks like yesterday's food that was "Slinged" around before giving it to us. Compare ours to the the corporate picture! My wife took two bites, then threw it out the window to any stray cats that may be desperate for food. Now...for the foot long coney! This could NOT have been a freshly cooked hot dog. Notice the tip. Have you ever had a hot dog that when you bite into it, it is like biting off a piece of leather? This was worse! The coney had very little sauce and the cheese was overmelted. The taste was horrid. I tried to eat it, but three bites is all I could handle. It too was sacrificed to the cats..... poor souls! CONCLUSION: First, I don't recommend that anyone ever go to this Sonic, especially if your immune system is sensitive to old food. Next, if management even bothers to read these reviews, I want my money back. I have the receipt. It was $15 and some change. And last, someone needs to be fired! Either the person that trains the employees here, or the employees that may have been trained properly but are not taking the importance of food and health seriously. We are lucky that we did not spend time at the porcelain throne that night.

A wait is almost guaranteed whenever anyone goes to this location. Its a wait you have to be willing to do when your child asks for a slushy. The good thing is that the employees that work here are so polite, helpful and trying their best. Most days there are only 2, maybe 3, workers tops. They are patient and nice even though they probably get screamed at all day long.

Tonight was the worst experience I have ever had at a Sonic. I pulled up to the drive thru at 7:50 PM and was told by an employee that she would be right with me. 15 minutes later I'm still waiting to order. Three vehicles in front of me waiting for there food. I finally backed up and left. So did the three cars behind me. I understand that restaurants are understaffed but at least let the customer know that and it might take time to take and get your order. If you don't have enough staff to.operate your business, shorten your hours or close until you do.

Their average rating is to high. This is the worst sonic I’ve ever been to. It’s always the slowest place even when no one else is in line. When I have a lapse in judgement and give them another try I rarely actually get my order taken. I have only had one good experience with a worker here (the guy with the motorcycle), every other time they have either been lifeless or been fairly rude. One girl got a slushie order wrong and when I sent it back I watched her pitch it at the drink drain. This location needs a change of management badly.
