We are from Florida and Alabama. This is an all time favorite place! We are just finding out about having one so close to us in PA!! Best shakes, burgers and the chili cheese fries are the best!!!! I remember my first job being at a Steak ‘n Shake years ago! Still great place to go!!

It's good food at a good price, which is a college student's best friend. Quality comes at a cost of convenience, however, as it may take a little while to get your order, which is a college student's worst enemy, behind student loan interest. Overall, highly recommend.

My favorite fast food restaurant of all time, and somehow I'm lucky enough to get one in the town where I grew up, at the college I graduated from. The food itself is perfect Steak 'n Shake fare, no imitation. It is the classic Steakburger and those amazing shoestring French fries. The food is spot on perfect, and always delicious. It's cheap too, like if I was still in college, I would eat there 3x daily cheap.
Issues with this place are: the lack of a full menu - it's an abbreviated version. Also strange is that they don't allow you to order a la carte, so I can't, for instance, get just a burger or just fries. You have to get a combo meal. Weird. It also takes a pretty long time to get your order. Even when they're not busy, I've waited 15-20 minutes to get my burgery goodness. Don't plan on walking right in, grabbing your food, and leaving. But if you aren't bothered by these limitations, and you're a true Steak 'n Shake fanatic, like myself, you'll be in for an excellent fast food feast.
