I sat at the bar top and ordered an Old fashioned. It was actually one of the best I've ever had, sadly I only saw the bartender that made it one time and then he disappeared. I had the ribeye, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The food was excellent and prepared perfectly! On the downside, there were like four people working in the bar but they hardly checked on me and there were long waits between drinks. If the food had not been so good I probably wouldn't go back, so in this case the cooks saved the day.

We had a large group and service was very slow. Food was good but my sauce on the side should have been warm but was ice cold. Had to order my drink like 3 times as the waitstaff didn't know about the liquor I discovered at the bar, I should have just ordered from the bartender.

Malibu grill is a great restaurant located in the heart or downtown Bloomington. They have a large variety of food so it’s a good place to bring a group that is full of picky eaters. To start we got the spinach artichoke dip which was okay, not great. I got the Mahi with pesto pasta and roasted tomatoes and it was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly and paired very well with the pesto pasta. For dessert we had a mudpie and cobbler which were both delicious. The mudpie is huge so make sure there are enough people to share (unless you’re feeling extra adventurous).

Great place for dining out. Lots of stories captured in the pictures displayed thru out the restaurant. Food is excellent and the service is awesome.

The food was fresh hot and delicious. Although seating is an issue in most case you either have a half hour wait for a table or have to reserve a spot in order to sit. Bartenders were very attentive and friendly. Not bad for my first time

Most let down I’ve ever been about a restaurant. The bread tasted bad to start and I expected it to get better. Then we got sweet fries, the fries at Wendy’s taste better. My steak was so skinny. Tasted so charred. To add to that it had a very limey taste with very little flavor. Worst steak I’ve had in years. Asparagus was under cooked. Good service is the only positive thing I can say about the restaurant.

Food is still very good but has been trending downward. Quite cramped. Uptown just around the corner has a much more open feel for the price you pay. And we had the wait staff dump orange sauce all over my daughter's clothes including her white shorts and new shoes. Manager came over to "read us" and didn't take anything off the bill. Spent $50 per person and didn't so much as take a drink off the bill. Living off their past reputation and other restaurants like Uptown and Feast who care about customer experience and maintaining quality are passing them by.

I had a Fillet steak (which was market price) that had a lot of fat & gristle. I was really disappointed in the steak for the price we paid I thought it should of been a better. The Asperagus was wrinkled & didn't taste that good. My husband had a chicken dish that was okay. We did like the hummus appetizer. That's the reason for the two star.
