Michael John's Pizza

I stopped in here today thinking this was just some small pizza joint. I heard they had slices so I figured I’d check them out. Boy was I wrong! Michael johns definitely has slices, however it is unlike any pizzeria I’ve ever seen. They have tons of different slice options, as well as other Italian classics like Stromboli. I went with the pepperoni (my personal favorite) and a Margherita. Both of them were very very good. The slices were tremendous and covered with toppings. I had the garlic bread as well. It was a good balance of cheese, bread and garlic butter. Prices were reasonable. The coolest thing though was the incredible steady stream of customers coming in on their lunch break to grab a slice of pizza with their coworkers. Every booth had people sitting at them, and people were moving in and out of the restaurant. The line was always long the whole time I was there, but moved very quickly. Congrats to all the success of this unique pizzeria.

great spot, new fav pizza for what all ive tried in ct so far; clean & spacious yet still comfortable interior, friendly staff & of course DELICIOUS PIZZA! ...super fresh & quality ingredients, makes such a difference, had absolutely zero complaints--every element was top notch 👌..this is truly a gem of a place, will be hard to beat! will definitely return & share!

My experience today, Wednesday 6/8/2022. I ordered my lunch online because I have a limited lunch break. Don't bother going to the pick up line. It's just there for show. They want you to wait in the long line where everyone is placing their order. And the attitude I received from the man at the counter is ridiculous. Very poor costumer service. It's as if he had an attitude because I was standing in the pick up line. There is a sign that says pick up and online orders here. Now the food. I always get the chicken and it's always good. I ordered a side garden salad. They made my salad with brown lettuce covered by the good lettuce on top, and spoiled bell peppers. The bell peppers were so spoiled that they smell and had a slim on them. When you picked it up the slim strings were hanging. Gross! The manager was nice and is refunding my money for the salad, but I will never go here again. I don't know if this place is under new ownership or what, but I don't have to pay for bad service or food; and I'm not.

Interesting place and unique arrangement. You'll see what I mean as you walk in. I had a slice and an Italian combo grinder. All the available slices are laid out in front for you to browse and choose from. Big open kitchen and the menu is posted on the big wide screens overhead. Kind of a cafeteria feel but friendly at the same time. For me though, the standout was the nice and full grinder. Italian combo grinders are a dime a dozen but this one had some kick to it! A hot ham or capicola maybe? So good I actually had to stop and say to myself hey, this is a really good grinder!
