Bruegger's Bagels

We have tried and tried to accept the downfalls of this bagel shop. Love the bagels but with the continued unsanitary conditions, we just can't go back. Yesterday was the last straw. Sure, Sunday morning could be busy, and it was typical. We are patient. 6 or 7 people working and we were waited on fairly quickly, but when looking down at the counter where they were working ....ISH! Could someone just wipe it off? It was covered with seeds and sauce and who knows what else. I didn't want onion flavor on my plain bagel. The sandwiches were sort of slopped together. But the worst thing ever and which totally changed my mind from ever trying again is this picture. We sat outside due to COVID and I looked thru the window and saw this! Really? A piece of cheese on the windowsill? I am very tolerant of a lot, especially during these difficult times, but this is unacceptable. Sorry - won't be back! It is always just too dirty.

No lobby open that day. I went there during the pandemic and went inside BUT had to drive thru today. THEN...and this had NEVER been an issue before...wanted peanut butter on pumpernickel and she said they had to give me the tub of peanut butter and couldn't spread it on. WHAT?? I have been going to BRUEGGERS for about 30 years and NEVER EVER has an allergy diatribe been recited...EVER....NEVER. OMG... Can you peanut allergy freaks please leave the planet???? And please...take the Glutens with you. AND...the vegans who think pepperoni on their pizza is a vegetable. Next you will be messing with the bacon on breakfast sandwich because its actual meat and not some vegie-based "good for the planet" pretend meat. So I had to spread on the peanut butter sitting in my car...because I didn't want to take it home...I wanted it then...for late breakfast/early lunch. Geez..the convenience!!! Rethinking my place for a bagel fix!!!

I miss being able to go in and get bagels in the afternoon! Covid changed things, yes, but why close so early in the day now that other places are still open for business? I dont go just for the day I'm going in, I buy some for several days. Good products but not conveinient for people who work or go to school till mid/late afternoon!
