Searched on Google Maps for Chinese restaurants and caught this place when visiting VT. Ordered beef fried rice and beef sizzling plate for to go. Portion size is good but the price is also a little higher than other Chinese restaurants I visited throughout the country (even in New York city). The sizzling plate is very spicy but lacks flavor. Fried rice is average. Service there is very friendly. Considering there is not many options for Chinese cuisines around VT, I would recommend this place for others. 2018-04-11 Update: the dine-in food quality is greater than take-out. Portion size is huge. Raised to four-star.

China inn has been my favorite place because of they buffet (they don't do now due to COVID-19) and reasonable price. I keep getting food from them so I almost know their prices :D. I keep taking out from here as I love Chinese food. I was disappointed because they charged the price of large for a small food items once. I thought they might have increased the price. Next time I ordered a to-go again and the guy in the phone said the price for large when I asked for small. I questioned is this the price for large or small? and immediately he said you will get a large. And yes I got large. This was my only bad experience but may be they increased their price due to COVID or may be we had mis-communication. Haven't ordered from here since then. They are a small business so I highly recommend them though. You get a good portion for such a little price.

I’ve been eating at China Inn since I came to Tech in 2014. Hands down the best Chinese cuisine you’re going to find in the area. It’s one of the few places everyone can agree on when we dine out as a group, and the food is still great despite COVID complications. Family owned and run, always polite, quick to fix any errors with an order.

Good portions and good prices. The lunch combos are typically their best deal, but nothing on the menu is ridiculously expensive. The lo mein is fresh and not too oily, and the udon soup is surprisingly good for a place that doesn't specialize in Japanese styled food. Delivery has gotten MUCH better through the past few years; it never takes too long to get food anymore. All in all, a solid spot for Chinese takeout that's fresh and tasty.

Service is bad and food is mediocre. Went in with coworkers. They all got the buffet but I couldn't eat anything from that so I ordered an appetizer. I had to tell the server what I wanted 4 different times before they finally brought me food. By the time I got my order everyone had finished eating and they were ready to leave. I tried ordering online today because I'm busy at work and wanted some quick food. They cancelled my online order and closed up for today and tomorrow. This place is just terrible. I'm just going to make my own Chinese food from now on.

The typical American menu is good, but you should ask for the Chinese menu. There are many more options, and while they're more expensive, the quality and taste is worth it. Portions of the Chinese menu are large and come with rice, so share a plate and try something new. I recommend the Cumin beef, Five Flavor Chicken, Fried Salty Chicken, and you really can't go wrong with the Chicken Lo Mein if you like American Chinese fare. I've never gotten delivery, but eating in and picking up has always been a pleasant experience.

I've been going here since the 80's. Several changes of ownership, of course, and this latest round makes okay food. The hot and sour soup is very good. It's convenient, too, with its own parking spaces. The fried rice is not true fried rice; it's rice with soy sauce all over it.
