I’ve eaten here twice and have had a wonderful experience each time. Even though they were short on staff we were served quickly. The good is good, just one suggestion for a personal preference: I like the food really hot otherwise it cools too quickly. My friends were traveling from out of town and they enjoyed it. Great atmosphere too.

I love this restaurant. I am from out of town but when I visit friends here, this is a definite stop. The green curry is wonderful. This time I tried the crab Rangoon and is was delicious and did not disappoint. Nice people and worth the stop.

Great and friendly service, and top tier food. I’ve been coming here for years, and the staff now is so much friendlier. The quality of the food has always been fantastic.

Thai Basil, Black Mountain, NC
We met friends for dinner. Started with spring roll appetizers. My friend said the Thai iced tea was good. We all enjoyed our meals. I had brown rice rather than white rice. Service was excellent. No reservations accepted but we arrived at 6 pm on a Tues and had no wait.

Great food and service! The house salad and shrimp pad Thai were amazing. My husband and I also enjoyed the jasmine tea. The restaurant atmosphere could use a little TLC for a 5-star rating.

Fresh Thai dishes without leaving downtown Black Mountain. Everything we’ve tried is great! Don’t worry if there’s not much staff, they manage it well.

Got the tofu spicy fried rice (don’t worry any spice fearing folk, it wasn’t bad at all!), crab rangoons, and Bangkok chicken. Everything was absolutely delicious and came out piping hot and fresh! Definitely recommend it!

Sweet taste of Thailand in the mountains. Our meals were all very fresh and flavorful and great care taken to presentation. The recipes are slightly different flavoring than what I have tasted before but that is to be expected at a restaurant that isn’t a big chain. Staff was very helpful and very friendly. Restaurant was clean and neat. We ordered Pad Thai with shrimp, pineapple fried rice, and kee mow.

Amazing food!!!! My husband I shared the curry puffs & crab ragoon appetizer followed by their Pad Kee Mow & Teriyaki chicken. Everything was delicious, fresh, and full of wonderful flavor. Beautiful atmosphere and friendly. If I lived here I would be a regular!

I have lived in Black Mountain ever since this restaurant opened. I had never given it a chance until today at lunch. I am so glad that I did! The spicy shrimp salad was one of the best things I've had to eat in a while. The food was absolutely amazing and the service was top-notch. The crew at Thai basil just won over a huge fan and a long-time customer!
