Rex's Chicken

Counter service was very slow but it didn't take too long to get our food once we had ordered. The chicken and fry bread we're excellent (we had original and jalapeno). The sides we're inconsistent, the potatoes were good but the fries were old and so was the mac n cheese. Overall not a bad trip and I would definitely stop here again. Just beware, the Rex's sauce looks like Cain's sauce but is way different, more of a thousand island type sauce. We liked the ranch though.

Good food! I got the Rex's classic meal. Came with the best fried okra that I've had in a while, and awesome fry bread. The meal was about 8.30, minus tax. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because the sweet tea mixtures were a little off. I would suggest the tea at Cane's if you're looking for a good sweet tea. I will say that they have only been open for a week, so if you're reading this in the future, then they probably have it together now. There's a line out the door, but it moved fast. There was a pretty average wait time, overall.

I visited at 2:15pm on Sunday. I drove quite a distance to visit based on my memories of great food and service years ago. The place wasn’t even busy yet it took a full 10 minutes for an employee to even come to the counter to acknowledge me and other customers waiting to order. When I ordered, the employee asked if I’d like a soft drink with my order. I declined and asked for a water cup. He charged me for a fountain drink anyway and I just brushed it off as an honest mistake. Then I went to get a drink and the fountain was out of CO2 (curious why they’re trying to sell fountain drinks if it’s not working). Turns out teas were “out of order” too. I had trouble finding a clean table to sit at and tried the clean one in the picture before realizing they taped a sign - “Do not sit here.” Received my food quickly enough. The okra was hot, but the chicken wasn’t even slightly warm. I politely complained about the cold chicken and they brought me some freshly made that was hot. The food was satisfactory in the end, but they really need to get a manager that can hire, train, and incentivize the right employees who can keep them in business.

I waited 45 minutes and when I got my to go order it was absolutely terrible. There were two white hairs in my daughter's food. I was like for real. The chicken was so over cooked I couldn't even eat it. I was so disappointed. I won't go back!!! Also every number online is either disconnected or went to a voicemail. This is a serious joke. The owner or manager was walking around taking pictures and making small talk. He should have been watching his line for over cooked food and the people not wearing hair net ... beware!!

Not too bad chicken was juicy and succulent as was my okra I dont like crinkle cut fries but I did try them too they were ok just sued to the type that was seasoned well but the fry bread was disappointing I've grown up with real homemade fry bread recipes and was not pleased....it's tasted like a doughnut...no it WAS a doughnut but sure ya it was fried bread...🙃.
