THAI THAI IS THE BEST OF BISHOP!! Was here for a week for a climbing trip and was very pleasantly surprised to find the options and variety this place offers! The Wor Wonton Soup is by far my favorite menu item and one of the best soups I’ve had in the United States! The gyoza was an amazing expereince as they made it very traditionally and was a great throwback. The pad Thai and fried rice options are really big portions and great for sharing for family style dinner if you enjoy those! They also have a chili tray with great options and distinctive! Lastly, Julia was our server all 3 times we went on this trip and she was absolutely delightful with great recommendations and a greater smile! Best place to visit if you’re craving something outside the standard American fare offered in town!
Their pineapple fried rice and mango sticky rice are so good. The fried rice is a bit inconsistent, but even at its worst, it’s still good. The portion size, on the other hand, is unfailingly generous.
I came from Toronto and I can tell this Thai food is so amazing!!!! Even in Toronto this would be one of the best Thai food in town. Please make sure you try green curry duck!
They have a pho on menu! Wonderful place to have food with nice airport views
Located at the Bishop Airport, it is a bit off the main highway, but worth the side trip. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They offer a variety of dishes, not only Thai. The portions are hearty and the dishes we tried were flavorful. The Drunken Noodles with chicken and the Drunken Noodles with beef were the favorite of the table. The fried rice was also very good with a serving large enough to share. The prices were a little on the high side, but it was worth it in portion size. There were five of us dining together and our meals came out staggered. The first two were halfway through their meal when the last two received theirs. It wasn't a huge problem for us, but others may be bothered by the staggered delivery for larger parties if this is the norm. We will definitely come again when traveling to Bishop.
The spicy basil and chicken is divine. Delicious flavors and sauce. However, it had massive amounts of onions and matchstick bamboo shoot I think, plus bell peppers — typical cost-saving cheap “vegetables” used as filler. This is a turnoff. There were maybe 3 (total) green beans cut up tiny like the size of my pinkie fingernail. Still, I’ll go again, because the flavors were so good. Maybe I can bring my own veggies lol.
Went here day after Whitney hike with friends, was bit skeptical due to its location but it is best kept secret around this area, it is attached to airport but has separate entrance. Great ambience, delicious food and we had a mini party after long hike.
I traveled Thailand and Vietnam more than 10 times! If you want try real quality and taste of Thai Cuisine! Just go this one! I will thumbs up for the real Thai food. Thanks for the business owner maintained this little place so nice and peaceful, We will definitely go back again in the near future.
Thai Thai is under new management. The food is real Thai food now, and in my opinion compares favorably with the many Thai restaraunts I’ve been to in LA, SF, and Chicago. Had the green curry and it was so nice. To top it off, good service and incredible views of the White Mountains. Best place to eat in Bishop right now in my opinion, besides the brewery
I had heard of the little Thai restaurant next to the airport, but didn't make it out until this weekend. Who whoulda thought there would be a reasonably bustling restaurant wayyyyyyyyyyy out there? But there IS, and it's a Thai restaurant...in Bishop!!! Go figure. The service is friendly, the vibe is casual and warm, the food is ... pretty good but not quite amazing. The drunken noodles could use a bit more flavor, the wontons were swimming in a sea of oil. The Thai tea was delicious!
