Very good! The food was quite unique and delicious. It was fun sharing! The portion sizes were perfect for us! The dessert was a perfect taste pairing-ice cream and fruit-filled benyays (spelling). It is a casual restaurants in terms of atmosphere and style. Yet the food speaks of a adventure far beyond the south' traditional fare. Definitely a place for the food adventurer! If you like a southern- heap the food on my plate- I need a take out box-experience this would not be a place for you... Yet the entree sizes ARE the right caloric intake for a meal....

I absolutely love the food in Alabama. Ovenbird does not disappoint. Not only was my fish perfectly cooked and presented, the owner / chef personally came to say hello. He made me feel so welcome, like an old friend that came over for dinner. The staff feels like family and made sure I had the perfect pairings to my food. Chris even sent over wine and dessert �. I might have to return to Alabama just for another meal here��
