CJ's Beach House is our one and only place to dine when we're staying in Birch Bay....
It's warm and cozy atmosphere along with it's friendly service are greatly missed during covid 19
but their take-out comes with a smile 😃
Their fish and chip's are absolutely wonderful, definitely worth the price and the long drive.
Staying in Birch Bay wouldn't be complete if CJ's where closed doing are visits...
Best clam chowder in the area! The most manly sandwich ever created by a woman is really amazing. Their fish & chips are so good! If you're in the area, eat there.
Food was great. I particularly like the crab cakes and clam chowder. The service was a bit slow though. Didn't come back while we were eating to ask if we needed drink refills and took a while to get the bill. But if you are ok with less attention from wait staff it's a great place to eat
Girl's weekend, we wanted fish and chips! We ordered from CJ's Beach House and it did NOT disappoint! First, it was fresh tasting, fast and delicious. The fish serving size was great, they were deep fried to perfection with stellar crunch. We all loved the fries which were yummy. We asked for extra sides of tartar and ketchup and they were generous with them, thankfully! Nice people, great fish and chips! The only criticism would be the cole slaw which was dry. We all agreed it was absolutely worth applause because the meal was thoroughly satisfying!
We had food to go, everything was very well packaged. Had fish taco, fish and chips and a famous clam chowder. Food was delicious. Friendly stuff.
Came in for breakfast before leaving town and we received warm friendly service. They made a custom order for our toddler which was appreciated, both adults got the crab cake Benedict and we both really enjoyed it. Fair pricing for a place on the water as well. Very clean restaurant as well.
We've eaten here numerous times with family and friends. It has become our number 1 preferred place to eat if we're going to eat out. The setting is great..... if you can sit out on the patio (and the weather isn't too cold or wet), do it! I love sitting by the ocean, and by the road..... I love the car and pedestrian traffic as well..... always something interesting to see and remark about! The food here is always good, and the service friendly. We've never had anything but a good experience while dining here. It really is like taking a short vacation, just for the evening, and right here in Whatcom County! We recommend this place without hesitation.
