Tarte Tatin Bakery & Cafe

(l just read a review of "bad service", which I originally agreed with and revised to be "cultural" at this acquired habit place. My friend had to drag me here twice). The baked goods, the spectacular double-baked, double size, almond croissant actually, is the reason to visit this pricey place. The dilemma is that the croissant is huge but "too good to be shared!" And where other self-important French bakeries are "out" of croissants, the passionate Israeli owner here will bake all day. The savory menu is pricey. The tiny place is a jumble of self-service and counter service - sort of like waiting for a bus in Tel Aviv! Middle Eastern, the high energy makes up for it all

This is my new go-to spot in Beverly Hills for breakfast/brunch/lunch and coffee! The food is always consistent and never disappoints. The egg salad is a must try, as is the pistachio french toast- WOAH. Actually, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu to be honest. The location on Beverly drive has more seating, which can be helpful on weekends! Love this place!
