First time and only !!! I cannot believe they just charge me more than $12.00 for 2 orders of tostones and 5 little pieces of fried pork meat, a dollar for each piece of meat. Did complain after already having paid and receive my food not knowing what I was going to get but the respond was, that is what it is. So unacceptable.

I arrived from out of town to left overs in styrofoam. It was luke warm. That alone, was was phenomenal. We jumped in the car soon after and drove the thirty minutes to find the loveliest ladies who served us graciously. This was my first experience in the place and she was so kind and helpful. The food was epic and so reasonably priced.

The food is amazing here. It has the love and quality of grandma's cooking. The portions are filling for the price. I eat here as often as I can because I know I'm getting healthy home cooked quality meals. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a healthy choice for the price of a McDonald's meal.

I am originally from out of state. I was looking for a restaurant that serves authentic Spanish cuisine. A lot of locals highly recommended La Borinquena. My husband and I were so excited once we got there. Everything smelled so fantastic and was plated so beautifully we placed a giant order. They made many things we requested to complete our order right in front of us. The place is sparkling clean. The customer service is amazing. Lee, the woman that handled our order got it perfectly. She worked extremely hard to complete it (including making a few dishes ready for us) and the food was the most delicious. The owner Carmen is very kind and approachable. The restaurant has resemblance to beautiful island decor. The portion size is extremely generous. Everything is extremely fair priced. The best thing is they can cater. Large portions for parties, family meals or individual plates. They have everything you need. We will be frequently ordering from these amazing professionals. I highly recommend this place.

I had their pulled pork with rice and beans, which is apparently their most popular dish. It was delicious! Some parts of the pork were a little too salty, but when eaten with the rice and beans, the flavors married very well. I usually don't like beans, but I couldn't stop eating these--so flavorful. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other options!
