Coal Lounge And Gril

On a complete whim, my wife and I dropped in to have a meal at Coal. It was our anniversary and our plan was to go with no plan and wing it on Broad Street. There are so many restaurants that we figured we were bound to find something here. Well, find something we did. We had never been to Coal and after looking over their menu decided to give it a try. The staff were gracious and were able to seat us in no time, despite having no reservations. Many kudos to them for making that happen! A beef and shrimp noodles dish, a grilled red snapper on a bed of kelewele, and a bottle of Bordeaux later -- we were really pleased with our meals and overall experience. A nice change of pace from our usual spots. We are looking forward to coming back again, hopefully soon.

I was so impressed with the owner of Coal. Chef, waiter, bartender and educator of the cuisine. He is the Jack of all trades. I had the chef special, peanut butter chicken stew with a rice ball (I’m drooling just writing it). It was amazing! Everything we had from the drinks to the apps to the dinners was so good, I almost went back today. If your in Bethlehem PA, you definitely need to try it.

Phenomenal experience! Homemade wine was incredible... my sister and I bought a bottle each! Food and flavors were out of this world. I highly recommend trying out Coal! We got the meat platter and the sweet and spicy plantains. Owner is incredibly sweet, professional and talented. If you need a job he is hiring too! Support your local business!
