Coming from germany, the bread in the united states is really ... not that great. Breads unlimited is the only bakery I found so far, that has good bread. It's a bit on the expensive side (~$12 for 2 lbs), but it's also really good. I gladly take the 1 hour drive to get there - tastes like home.

A marvelous discovery. A true mom and pop, with son helping and the best pastry and breads. Everything fresh, nothing stale or dry. A variety of humentaschen and chalahs, the usual and the unusual. The coffee? Superb! And on top of all that, great prices. Enthusiastically recommended.
I don't live that near but I will visit every time possible.

Bought the Sour Cream Pound cake. Cannot recommend enough. Perfect balance of moist cake with crispy sugary edges, not overly sweet and the sour cream adds just a hint of tang to add depth and balance. Staff there were amazing and the lady who assisted me did not steer me wrong in her recommendation. Oh, almond croissant was amazing too. I'm sure everything is delicious. Lots of options so I'll have to go back many many times to try it all.

Breads unlimited is a locally owned business that is over 40 years old. The staff are amazing, friendly and personable. They also have a great understanding of the delicious breads, pastry and pies they are selling and will be able to provide recommendations based on your likes and needs.
The store is extremely clean and right now is asking that you wear a mask when entering to help protect the staff and other customers. As for the different pastry, pies and breads you have a chance to experience, be ready to feel overwhelmed with excitement. They have so many delicious items that I went in to order a couple rolls and I left with 2 large bags of pastry and bread.
One star take off for the amount of egg in the breakfast sandwich.
