Hoagie / Pizza. Today I had a half of an Italian Hoagie ($5.15) and a plain square slice of pizza ($1.25). The hoagie was good, a typical Pittsburgh Italian hoagie. The pizza slice was just O.K., it reminded me of school cafeteria pizza. Service was friendly.
Not as good as when previous owners ran it. They still have a unique steak hoagie that hits the spot when you are hungry (a half of hoagie fills me up). Order "extra sauce" on the steak hoagie.
Still the best. In the 50 years I have been going to Danny's a lot of places have come and gone claiming to have hoagies "as good as Danny's" or "just like Danny's", and maybe some of them were, but who cares. As long as Danny's is still there making the best hoagies I see no reason to try to find something just as good..
A true Pittsburgh Legend.
This is the one people who move away come and visit when they are back in town
Don't know or care about the bread sticks or the calzones or even the steak hoagies. It is the Italian Hoagies that this place is famous for. They were always, and still are the best.
Best Steak Hoagie I've ever had.... The only complaint I have about Danny's is that they don't deliver. If they did, I wouldn't call any other pizza shop around. But, sometimes you just don't feel like going out and have to settle for less than the best. Danny's and Bethel Deli's hoagies are the best in Bethel Park, period. No other places even come close. I love the Sicilian pizza, although my husband doesn't care for it as he likes a thin crust, but if you like a nice fat pan pizza, this is the one. They have another square pan pizza that is a flatter crust that's really awesome, too. Buffalo chicken hoagie is also very good, unlike some other places I can actually see the chicken on it and taste the sauce.
Best hoagies ever. Been coming here for years and their Italian hoagies have never let me down. Best I ever had!!!
Danny's has some of the best hoagies I've ever had! it's local the people are nice! it is a blast to come there I love it!
I've been eating at Danny's since I was little. I'd moved away for several years and came back and am happy to report that they didn't mess with greatness. Honesty some of the best pizza I've ever had. The Italian hoagie and cheesesteak hoagie shouldnt be missed either. My boyfriend and I eat here usually twice a month.
Great Italian Hoagie...That's all there is!. Danny's Italian Hoagie is just so delicious...makes my mouth water thinking about it! The toasted hoagie has a italian style dressing on it and gives it such a wonderful flavor. The meats are so tasty. Just go for the Italian hoagie....the pizza and cheesesteak hoagie or meh.
Just get the Italian Hoagie...You'll love it!
Just so good!
Excellent Pizza. Danny's pizza is one of the few gems of Bethel Park. I've never been disappointed when eating here. The way they fold the crust under itself is great. Their sauce is a perfect balance of spicy and sweet, and their toppings are always at the pinnacle of freshness. Service is friendly, price is right...If only they'd deliver!
Love Danny’s. A South Hills tradition! I prefer the steak hoagie over the Italian, but everyone else in my family likes the Italian better so I guess I’m just the oddball haha.
I do have to knock one star off because twice I have gone and despite their hours listed they were closed for no reason.
Some of my favorite hoagies around pgh! I am not a fan of the tomato sauce that comes on the cheesesteak so I always ask to leave it off but some people LOVE it so it’s just preference. Their Italian hoagies are def my favorite
This place is a staple of Bethel Park so I had to try it out. It has a nice simple old school style of pizza; nothing you've never had but very good for what it is. The pizzas were good but the sandwich I had (no picture; sorry) may have been even more noteworthy -- an original Danny's steak sandwich. The secret sauce they use was super clutch; a nice sweet and savory kick that complements the toasted bread and toppings very well. Lastly, the pricing was very good in my opinion -- for the same price as their biggest pepperoni pizza, you can get their largest supreme pizza (also pictured). Typically, the supreme pizzas will cost significantly more, so the competitive price of $15.50 for each was a nice touch to the already impressive overall offering.
Danny's is my favorite Italian hoagie. I've been getting them since I was a kid. 30 years later and it is still my favorite. There's something to be said for that kind of consistency and quality
The original Italian hoagies are the bestest Italian hoagies I've ever had. It's a little on the expensive side but, then again, what isn't super expensive these days so, it is what it is and a half of a hoagie and a small pizza is more than plenty for me and my 7 year old son. Throw in some fruit and veggies and it's a pretty good meal for the night! Any time we're in the Bethel Park area, we're in the Waterfront area of town, we always get a Danny's Italian Hoagie! 😋🥖🥪😋
