Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. Portobello mushroom & spinach sandwich with brie cream sauce & basil aioli on a Brioche roll? Heaven. Our server Andy was great, too. The Penguin will be one of our must-haves when we return to Bethany Beach next year!
We stumbled across The Penguin tonight while looking for dinner, and I’m so glad we did!! My husband and I brought our one-year-old, and our server, Molly, was a doll to her, getting down to her level to talk to her, and giving her high fives. Molly took our stroller and tucked it out of the way for us, and offered fruit when we mentioned that our daughter wouldn’t be able to eat the kids meal portion and would just share our dinners, which was a great side. Speaking of food, it was FANTASTIC, and the portions were huge. I had the taco salad, which came with a side of ranch dressing, but it was so flavorful the dressing was unnecessary. With being from New York, and knowing the restaurant was farm to table, we expected our bill to be much higher than it was. I had my husband guess the cost of the final bill when it came and he overshot by $30. We would definitely recommend grabbing dinner here!!!
Definitely worthy of a trip. Fast and friendly service. Good food, if a little overpriced. But, then again, that's probably what we get for eating breakfast in a resort town. The brisket bowl was definitely tasty!
PERFECT BREAKFAST. Best in Delaware. Although the staff isn’t at 100%, they are wonderful. Julia was our server and she was amazing. Thank you to the team at The Penguin for making our Memorial Day weekend breakfast one to remember. ❤️🇺🇸
It was okay 👍 our waitress was very nice. The place had a very long wait. The food was pretty good as far as breakfast goes. It was very overpriced like everything in that area. If your hungover, got some cash, and can wait for some good breakfast grub I wouldn't say no lol.
I love the Halloumi Cheese appetizer & their crushes are excellent!!
favorite place for breakfast / lunch at the beach!! new pop tarts on the menu are a must try!

Had the pancakes, they were really good, flaky with real maple syrup. I must say the pancakes are the best thing I've eaten at Bethany beach. Well, I recommend this place for the pancakes.
Food was expensive but it was good. I asked for an English muffin but got a bagel sandwich I didn't say anything and it was still good. Service was quick and friendly!
This place is awesome!! Great service!! Big menu and they have gluten free options. Definitely will be going back here!!!
