Cottage Cafe

Came here for the first time with a small group and got quick, friendly service in a nice little time capsule of a place. Erin took good care of us, the food came out quickly, and everyone was happy with their food. My burger was delicious and the dune tots were great! I'm sure I'll be back before long

Went to the Cottage Cafe for the first time. The Cafe has a good vibe, the tables have plenty of room, and the booths have good partitions. We went there on a Sunday night at 6pm.. It was a little busy, but we were seated quickly. The servers had a friendly attitude and served us efficiently. The food came out quickly and looked delicious. The mini corn muffins were also great. No complaints. I will make it back.

After shopping at Tanger outlets my son spotted the restaurant. Upon entering we were greeted and seated by a nice young lady. Our waitress (do not know her name cause she didn’t even tell us) came to our table and asked what we were drinking. We received our drinks and ordered our meals. She returned with muffins and small plates and literally tossed the plate on the table in my son’s direction. She brought out our meals. My crab cake was not fully cooked and disgusting. My son’s grilled jerk chicken sandwich did not taste good and fries looked were old and reheated. My mom’s chicken Parmesan was bland. I informed the waitress that the food was disguising and I wasn’t eating it and asked for the check she came back and asked me did I want take out containers.

Had the weirdest thing happen at this place. We ordered the kids shrimp for our 6 year old, but apparently the waitress put in the entree. When the bill came we noticed and asked to have it fixed. The manager came over and said he couldn’t fix it because we had already eaten parts of it. We had a few pieces of shrimp in our to go box, so I put them on a dirty plate and told him he could have them back. At that point, he took the used shrimp and he agreed to fix the bill. This was our first and last time there. 4 shrimp is a really dumb way to lose business.

Erin out waitress was very welcoming, as was the person who seated us. The food was just like the best home cooked meal. My meatloaf melted in my mouth, and the brown gravy on it and the mashed potatoes just enhanced the flavor. My wife's Chicken Parmesan was huge, she had to take most of it home. The drinks were well done (not cutting back on the ingredients) and the atmosphere and home cooked style meal in a most comfortable setting made the experience memorable. This is a must do during your stay at the beach.

This is a solid local eatery with lots of choices and good home style cooking. I'm a Marylander who is picky about crab cakes and these are above average for a very reasonable price. Not local blue crab but still very tasty. The staff there are very friendly and kind and they do a great job of providing vegetarian options for my wife. We have carried out and dined in and it has always been very good.

This was our second time here. Very enjoyable experience! The lady who ushered us in was so pleasant. Our waitress, Teresa, was exceptional! She made some good recommendations (Boardwalk Cocktail, yum!) and she was very attentive. Hubby had the pot roast sandwich. He said it was as good as Mom’s (sorry Mom). We will be back!
