This is our go-to place in Bethany. During the pandemic, we carefully sourced where we would eat based upon reviews and cleanliness standatds and picked up. We dined in on our most recent stay.
The food is consistent and inventive. Your expected classics and some fresh variations.
The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Our server had decades of culinary experience and it showed. She asked about our well-being and recommended the perfect dishes and drinks.
Would definitely recommend.
As we used to say in the 90's this place was much like it's namesake "off the hook". The food, service and ambiance was exceptional. My wife and I went on a night that was busy everywhere. The place is located in an inconspicuous location. It reminds of a beach kitchen bar type spot. Nice artwork on the wall and the service staff was extra nice. Everything was great from the first drink to the last bite. Try the octopus it was a great recommendation as an app.
A really great find! The staff were very accommodating for a large group of several adults & several children on a Wednesday night during our beach trip. This was just what we were looking for: upscale casual beach vibe; a break from noisy, crowded beach-front places; and a focus on fairly-priced quality food with some culinary flair. Highly recommend octopus, tuna, sardines, crab dip, roasted beets, craft cocktails & wine list. Delicious entrees or mix & match excellent small plates. Neighborhood gem, fit for foodies, kid-friendly.
Had a terrific dining experience at Off The Hook last night. First visit since re-opening. The transformation of the interior space is incredible. We’ll done! The staff is amazing - great customer experience. And high marks for the new menu selections and the quality of the food. 5 out of 5 stars from us Steve and team!
Their menu is limited but the food was fresh and great! Service was amazing also! The burgers had a tomato jam that was delicious. The prime rib was great and the seafood tasted fresh. We eat here every year on vacation and have never had a bad meal!
Best seafood I've had in a year. Had a bit of a wait since they don't take reservations. Octopus appetizer over grilled potatoes was incredible. My wife and daughter had tuna and mahi and the sauces and preparations that were really special. Tuna pink insides with crisp coating and a bed of onions and asparagus in a balsamic sauce.

Food and service were exceptional! Ate off of the happy hour menu, corn and crab chowder were superb. Drinks were awesome. Banging shrimp was spiced just right. We will be back!
