So good! The portions are huge, so be prepared to spilt between friends or family.
Chef George's has the best chicken paprikash. The portions are extermely generous and served on a large platter. I definetly recommend this place to anyone in Coachella Valley.
Tonight I had an amazing dinner at Chef George's Restaurant. The light and love of the owner fills the room, and their food is absolutely incredible, must share the Greek salad while you sip on some Procceco and Malbec of course!😋😋😋
I had the Danish Chicken livers, and my friend the Chicken Picatta. For dessert we had The Homemade Hungarian Apple Strudel which is out of this world delicious.
Please come and have the time of your life, and be patient if they are busy? You will forget everything when the food arrives.

Saved by the 3-course special and the chicken livers. Don't really think it's worth it to get any of the a la carte dishes, as it is quite expensive and not really great. The pork loin was on the dry side of things and was only palatable with the sauce. Same goes for the beef goulash as the beef was very dry and kinda tough - obviously low quality beef with no marbling whatsoever. I get that it's a stew, but when you're paying $25+ for the dish... The Italian style chicken livers were fantastic and packed with flavor, and better yet, part of the 3 course special. The salad with the special was nicely balanced with acidity and richness. The dessert that came with the special ended up being the strudel, which was quite different compared to many others I've had before. The apples were so caramelized that they had lost all structure and apple-y taste. Not my thing, but others might like it. There's also live performance every night, so if that's your thing then that's some extra added value.
Best kept secret of Palm Desert! Cool and interesting little Hungarian restaurant, entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays, great drinks, decent food, fun service!
The decor is quirky, but that's it's charm, just like how Chef George was, bless his soul. The plates are well prepared and easy on the palette.

Bring your appetite when you visit this Gem! Very generous portions with enough to take home for leftovers. Quality & Quantity is what the Owner Lana insists on offering to all of her guests at Chef George’s.
This Gem also has entertainment every night. The best live music in the Coachella Valley with everyone dancing, drinking, dining and having the greatest experience.
As an added Bonus, they will have Dinner Fashion Shows along with their live entertainment starting in October 2023.

Very tasty food. Amazingly courteous staff. Decently priced for their summer specials; ordinary prices are a tad high, but just look at the amount of food! Two meals for sure.
Stumbled across this place by accident and was pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely marvelous the atmosphere and staff were outstanding. Large menu with a variety of choices of types of food. The Hungarian goulash and chicken Florentine or a plus. A little older demographic and the live music was fabulous. I would make a special stop there on my travels through I-10.
We went to George's for NYE 2019 and had the best food and time. We went back 3-4 more times on our short stay. The food is amazing and big portions! A must go.
Update: just went back for the first time post COVID and it was still amazing. Nicest staff. Huge servings. Chicken parm was amazing.

If you have never been here you need to go. Great lively atmosphere and the staff treats you like family. The entertainment is fun and everybody there is having a good time. Live music and dancing. The food is wonderful. So many things on the menu. I had the cajun catfish and it was fresh and cooked to perfection. We all had a great evening and will definitely be back.
We continue to return to George’s every time we visit Palm desert. It’s our favourite restaurant. The staff is extremely pleasant, the food is amazing with large portion sizes, and they always have some sort of live music going on in the back bar. The atmosphere is nostalgic and fun! I would highly recommend this restaurant, and plan to return time and time again!
